We all have our own preferences and opinions. We personally found the gameplay to be a bit too simple and shallow. The game is also a little rough around the edges. Also we don't consider a 6 to be for a bad game. Our review guidelines can be found here: http://www.insightbits.com/...

I personally think that the scores in general are inflated. I think the general perception has become that anything less than 85% is not very good. I don't agree with that perception. By inflating scores we are doing injustice to the games that are truly great and extraordinary. View

I actually really enjoyed Firefight mode. But because my friends haven't bought it, I can't play it much. View

I actually haven't played MDK. The thing about asking for Tim Schafer remakes is that it would take him away from his new projects. In the world of sequels, it is refreshing to see a developer always working on new and unique titles, although each of his titles can become franchises. View

The OP
Hey guys, thanks for your comments. I think I may have used a poor choice in words. When I refer to hardcore and core gamers I meant to refer to anyone that has played and is aware of genres such as FPS, RPGs and etc.. When I referred to casual gamers I meant those people who's gaming experience is limited to Wii sports, Wii play and Wii Fit. Maybe I should have referred to them as non-gamers? So its not about the usual casual vs hardcore gamer.

In any case, the article was in response to what I thought was an average year of game releases for the gamer on the Wii. The point of the article was that the gamers, by word of mouth market the gaming industry to the non-gamers

I completely agree that Nintendo can only release so many games and that the 3rd party are the ones that need to release them. But I also think that Nintendo can play a large role in influencing 3rd party releases similar to what Sony and Msoft do.

Those are my thoughts anyway. Thanks for the comments and thanks for reading! View
