Good Info
Signed up for the heck of it.
Only part i messed up on was the ID.

The Konami ID has to be 8-11 letters/numbers that i didn't notice mentioned till the final sign up didn't work for me. View

Google ... the Microsoft of this generation
With everything they are getting into and dominating, they seriously remind me of Microsoft back in the day.

Whats next... A Google Console? View

Very cool game.

Characters actually play out like a real movie you control better then any game in this genre style.

Im curious how they will top it with Uncharted 2 View

The news hit such a media frenzy when Warner left that even if HD-DVD had something up their sleeves it would not matter now.
Consumers would flip out if this format war hit another stage.
But Blu-ray won.

Heck, the name Blu-ray just sounds cool.

If the media doesnt let up on this bombardment of HD-DVD, Paramount and Universal will switch the day their contracts are up with Hd-DVD

People who bought it for the holidays will be mad.
They should have ended this war before the holidays.

But the perk for HDDVD people will be super cheap movies when there is a firesale. View

Old, But good
May be an old article but it answered lots of questions ive been debating with friends recently. View

(This news is really for USA companies only BTW even though I remember when living in Euro a few did this as well and changed to flat fees like US has now.)

Did a few searches and it looks like a few of the providers are debating this.

They want to make it like Electric/Gas bills and bill according to usage.

This could be a huge blow to people who are looking to download movies in the future.

The providers always said when youtube video download types started to take off they would consider this form of charging.

Now with all this Movie downloads are the future business....

They want to cash in.

HDD may not be the format of the future anymore if this goes through and the price is high. View

This will hurt movie downloads and online play if it goes through
I doubt this will happen, but I can see cable companies doing this to stop people from downloading movies from Apple tv, xbox, playstation etc..
That way they only make the money off their "on-demand" service and not other video companies. View

He mentions walmart at 1:10 or somewhere there..
But I couldn't tell if he was just mixing up target or something else.
Seemed a strange way to bring such huge news in a conversation so small.

I'm a blu ray fan, but might want to wait till this is official, seemed way to flyby for such a huge story if its true. View

Yes of course it took 400+ million because you know the facts.
And of course every ps3 fan bought these bluray movies to promote the ps3 and not for the games.

Give it a rest young man, Bluray won.

PS3 helped, and every other movie studio that supported Bluray and not HDDVD helped also.

If you think ps3 helped the Bluray war so much, then you should have bought a ps3 to go next to your xbox and Wii like the rest of the men.

PS3/XBox360/Wii are not what this is about....
this is about format..
Blu-ray Won. You lose.. End of story.

Adios! View
