Keep in mind...
For people nay-saying the Wii's chances of having RE5 ported to it, keep this in mind.

The Wii contains the bare necessities of your average console. What it lacks in the next gen department is surround sound and strong processing.

Despite this, RE4 worked like a dream. Much better than either the GCN or PS2 versions combined. So obviously the controls work.

Sound is not exactly essential, so standard stereo works fine in my book (though surround would always have been a plus).

The graphics of RE5 would have to be toned down, yes. But keep in mind that the Wii IS capable of decent visuals. Mario Galaxy and the upcoming The Conduit both have demonstrated this quite well (with both using the bloom lighting mechanic which can replace the lighting used in the 360/PS3 versions).

Hopefully in terms of everything mentioned above, the processor will be able to handle a game like RE5 with dumbed down graphics.

I honestly am not sure what will come of the future. But I still see something bright from Capcom in terms of Resident Evil. So to everyone clamoring over "yes, Wii" and "no, Wii"; kindly shut yer yap and just play the darn game. =P View

That's gotta be one big title screen.
Ah, well. Regardless, a title screen is a title screen. Not to mention that it was played off of a stronger console's engine capacity. Obviously older consoles would probably not handle it as well.

I'm still confident in a Wii rendition. Capcom would probably know how to alter it without changing the initial experience (not like the pants-on-head-retarded dingbats working on Dead Rising: Drop Till You Suck). View

I think...
These are some really awesome announcements and discussions. While I don't remember hearing anything about RE6, I love the idea of an RE5 on Wii. Assuming the game is virtually unchanged, I would definitely sacrifice graphics for the Wii controls of RE4 any day. =) They were far more intuitive, worked flawlessly and were very responsive.

I'm also ecstatically relieved that they have implimented offline split-screen co-op. Now my brother and I can play this game without having to buy/rent a second copy. :D View

This article is all too true.
The funny thing is that I used to be quite the Nintendo fanboy myself until I got my hands on a 360 (which I use much more often than my Wii).

But the notion of "jealousy" that many people are displaying in the comments here are disappointing. The comparisons of "graphics, power, online, etc." are all irrelevant to the point of the article.

It is suggesting not that LBP should be on the Wii. But that Nintendo should have taken the concept of in-depth platforming and user generated content into account as a huge standard. While Sony chose to take this step, Nintendo did not.

This isn't some whiny Nintendo fanboy. This is someone who took a subjective look at the activity of Nintendo, what it's capable of, and comparing it to what many believe to be Sony's greatest innovation in gaming for the PS3. View

Didn't care for this after E3...
I can understand if other people feel it will "save" the franchise, but honestly, I don't think it will be good. Everyone said the same things about Next Gen, Secret Rings, etc. View

Well, my excitement offically died.
What am I supposed to think about this?

First they use the Werehog concept and now a sword? What is this? The Legend of Zelda or Sonic? View

I don't see...
How trying something new would help this hedgehog. New things and new gimmicks is all Sega has tried in the past but nothing has caught on.

BUT the 2D platforming in Sonic Unleashed caught on (even for me) at least until they revealed that dumbass Werehog gimmick. So close and yet so far.

I guess Sega's little "back to basics" policy has finally run its course. Oh, and we'll probably end up getting around 5 Sonic fast piles of mediocrity with one exception that's slightly less mediocre (like the last four to five years). View

Makes sense to me.
Learning from the mistakes of a bad company to keep your product in tip-top shape.

Makes sense considering what stupid decisions Sega have made as of late. And considering Nintendo's successes, I think Miyamoto is in his full right to make comments such as these.

And no, I'm no Nintendo fanboy. I think WiiFit is a waste of time, space and money. Oh, and friend codes are BS. View

I would like this on Xbox 360.
Probably not on Wii, but 360 sure. :) It would give me one last reason NOT to get a PS3. View

I actually like Nintendo.
But this takes the cae from the arrogance of this comment. I'd tip my hat (if I had one) for David Jaffe. :) I think he's much more understanding of gaming and this exact scenario. View

Right, right.
This is coming from old, fat, white women who probably don't know the first concept of a video game. View

I'm not surprised.
Sega has been crapping out so much lately. Honestly, I couldn't bare to play another Sonic cash in, so I have no reason to even touch this miserable piece of crap. View

What on earth?
This guy hasn't even played the game! Who the hell is he to say it sucks? Or if the concept sucks? The game could be quite good. So wait until its out and then judge. Geez, he sounds like one of those deranged Sonic fans who thought they liked the Next Gen game. View

Compared...
Other hands-on experiences have been much more informative than this...

At least we got some visuals though. Wonder how/where they got the American version. :/ View

Interesting...
Very interesting. And the sword and nunchuk gameplay almost looks like 1:1. I might rent this. View

I would not say that this confirms anything.
That image is still missing Snake and Sonic.

Although, I think it may be fake (as much as I desperately want Bomberman in there), as that photo looks similar to the supposed Smash Bros. Wii demo pic. View

This has already bent itself way out of control...
1. My own opinion shouldn't even be presented because no matter what my decision these morons will accuse me of being the games' little fanboy.

But I'll say it anyway.

Either Mario Galaxy or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare should win. I'm a little disappointed that the Orange Box didn't make the list though.

2. Could the Sony fanboys shut their faces already? The PS3 has less games to play than the Wii, and that says alot.

And don't tell me about games like Call of Duty 4, or Tom Clancy, or Assassin's Creed. Why? Because they're always badly ported onto the damn system. There's really no excuse for it.

3. It's freakin' X-Play. They always do this crap every year. So why is everyone getting so riled about this time? Spike already had game awards earlier anyway. View

So basically, everyone ELSE is the problem.
I don't see what I'm doing wrong. I'm not exactly blatantly taking sides. I'd just like for this utter crap to stop piling in.

And no, I'm not in that poorly conceived statistic you just brought up. I just read the game news and I talk about it. It's called "personal opinion" and you are in no position to be criticizing anyone for that. View

Wow. Thank you so much.
What is wrong with you? You and everyone here who is adding fuel to the fire?

No one deserves an attack of ANY kind. Anyone who says otherwise is just being an immature nuisance to the site. Go ahead and flame me, or spam me, or whatever your ignorance has you do. Go ahead and prove me right.

But the point is is that you and everyone like you who is saying "ZOMG we have to attack da xbox fanboy hahaha lol", you are adding tot he problem. View

So essentially, this is a very limited controller.
What the hell is the point of it if we have Wii Remotes, GCN controllers and Classic Styles? This pad is limited to everything that is before the 3D age. View
