Demon's Souls isn't a game where you sit down and relax. You have to give it your full attention. No charging into a full horde of enemies in this game, no way. Thats one sure way to die.

On your first play through, take your time, take in the atmosphere. Once you're moving through a dark mine, or a tight corridor, you'll be on your guard for sneak attacks. Also, make sure you're online and can read the messages. If you had, you may have seen the message that WARNED you about the dragon.

I think its a damn shame when people pass up on this game because of its 'difficulty'. Its only as difficult as you are stupid. You can be as stubborn as like and say "No, what I'm doing works perfectly and it will succeed" despite dying over and over. Some players don't realise that, hey, maybe I need to change my tactic to overcome this enemy.

Turn the lights off, put the sound up, sit back and enjoy one of the finest games of this gen. You'd be crazy not to indulge in this. View

GTAIV was pretty good. It looked fantastic and the whole living enviroment Rockstar created was brilliant. Sadly, they went too much for story. They wanted the gamer to focus solely on the storyline which to be honest wasn't that great anyway.

They took away the freedom of GTA, modding cars, peddle bikes and other assortment of mini games were lost in hopes they could create something a bit 'gritty'.

To be fair though, the online mode is severly overlooked. Get online with a few friends and it can be a blast. There were a lot of fun modes and it never felt 'competetive', just plain fun.

As for the DLC, I like it. Doesn't really bring anything new the to the table, although the few mini games they added are fun, my personal fav being the bare knuckle boxing in TBOGT.
I felt the DLC added more to the 'living city' rockstar have going this GTA, showing other peoples lives within it and how it can change from where the main protagonist is set (Johnny on Alderney ect).

Overall, no I don't really touch GTA much anymore and once I'm done with 'Episodes...' I'll probably put it on the shelf and leave it be. But I will go back to it, like other GTA games for a good old fashioned killing spree. Nothing better then getting 6 stars and going on the run although the removal of the army was very dissapointing. View

Microsoft are right in this. Its clearly stated in their rules that sexual orientation shouldn't be put in profiles.

All the people saying its wrong move, they're not saying "we don't want lesbians in our gaming community" because that is far from it. Its a gaming community first and foremost, your sexuality has no business being placed in your profile as you're there to do one thing...play games. View

Out of all the simply great games that come from Japanese developers, I give you one recent shining example: Demon's Souls.

Would gaming survive without Japanese devlopers? Never. View

At risk of being flamed by PS3 fanboys, Valve just don't need the PS3 community. While many will be quick to disagree that any developer should want to expand their fanbase, Valve has always and will always thrive best on the PC.

With the source Engine being open to all freelance developers out there, it truly expands on their games. People create some fantastic mods with the Source Engine available to them and can also get creative developers on the pay roll at Valve.

They release their games on 360 simply because its easy to port for and they can make money for doing so.

Also, PS3 is about the exclusives anyway. View

Why defend something that doesn't need defending?

The old stereotype of the greasy virgin gamer in his mothers basement, just isn't as true as it was years back.

I'll admit, I play a lot of games. I love nothing more then coming home from work, kicking my work gear off and cranking a few hours on my latest purchase (Demon's Souls is eating my time away).

But at weekends, I love seeing my girlfriend, the only time I get with while shes at Uni. I'm an avid reader, I enjoy my films and I go drinking with my friends. Gaming is part of my life but it isn't my entire life. View

Shame you didn't like it, I thought it was a blast. A 256 player game with no lag, get your squad working together and its so very, very fun.

I know people complained about the graphics but considering the gameplay and the amount of people involved in a single online game, you can see the sacrifice of graphics for the gameplay itself. View

Great Stuff!
But really, more people need to play this. My first playthrough alone was 60 hours. It can be done in 35 but theres so many secrets to discover. The atmosphere it creates makes the game so immersive you want to explore every nook and cranny.

Everything about the game works well. The online features are superb, the combat is brutal, challenging and satisfying. Just do yourself a favour and buy this wonderful game. View

But we know it isn't real...
Just because they make it look authentic and realistic doesn't mean it is. Its a simple plot.

Seeing your character disguise himself as a terrorist and shoot up an airport made to look 'real' isn't going to make me think "Wow, I bet this happens all the time". There's plenty of military fiction done with such authenticity to appear real because that appeals to many peoples taste.

Its a PLOT for a game, one that could easily have come Tom Clancy. View

Oh yeah, I forgot you mentioned GTAIV, which really, is far worse when you compare the violence. You can just shoot anyone, beat anyone, steal any car, go on insane rampages.

And your argument for that being ok is "You complete missions!"
But MW2's objective isn't to slaughter as many people as possible as a terrorist, is it?

I can't believe you would think this is more violent over GTA! View

But it isn't that bad....
First, you should really brush up on your films.

Second, I honestly don't see the big deal with it. Yeah, sure, terrorists are the thing to hate right now and rightfully so. But that doesn't mean this should cause outrage.

I asked a friend who bought this game what its like and when asked about this level he said it was 'ok'. Yes, thats right, its ok because its simply a game.

Really though, you are right, you play the hero of the peice which is why it would be difficult. You need to infiltrate this group of terrorists and gain their trust BY ANY MEANS and your characters does what he has do. Basically he has no other choice. I don't whether or not you can go through without shooting anyone (someone wanna clarify?) but if not, the game gives you no choice because its a game. Pretty much everyone that plays MW2 will never be in the situation of standing with an elite group of terrorists gunning people down in an airport to gain their trust.

If I play the game and do this scene, I'll understand the difficult choice it would be for the character, but I'll also understand it isn't real and its simply pixels on a screen. View

Yup, this is how it works....
Like when I played Fat Princess, I ran down the street trying to force feed women cake and then carry them back to my house and battle off anyone trying to rescue her....

A game is released that is violent (with an 18 rating no doubt) and immediately Fox News thinks kids will be 'influenced' by it. If ANY child played MW2 and wanted to become a terrorist because they thought it was 'awesome', that child has some serious issues as it is, never mind that the parents are allowing them to play it anyway.

Besides, from what I've heard, IW took all the precautions as it is. You can choose not to play these levels and it has the big 18 CERTIFICATE on the cover.

Kids are not influenced by computer games. The few that are will be pretty messed up anyway. Just stop it, Fox News. View
