But isn't Nuts and Bolts just a level in Banjo 3, meaning 80% of a level in Banjo is actually vehicles, not the game? View

Personally, my favorite Mario game was Super Mario Bros 3. Always been a staple in my collection. I've never actually owned Mario 64, I remember renting a N64 back when I was 5 or 6 and playing it thinking "Wow, this is awesome!"

But Mario 3 is just the one Mario game that never gets old with me. View

Meh, I'm a muscle car/truck fan. When I play racing games, those are the cars I pick. So this article really doesn't apply to me. View

I became a gamer towards the end of the 8-bit era and I gotta say. The 16-bit era was by-far the best gaming era so far. View

Just because one is harder, doesn't make it the more accurate. It looks like Neversoft was actually trying to compensate by sneaking in a few notes that were actually bass. Now, while this may be a little dirty in terms of staying true to the songs. It makes them more replayable in a sense that you can't just master them in a few playthroughs.

Then again, Rock Band isn't meant to be the test of your fingers. It's built for co-op and multiplayer. Guitar Hero 3 doesn't offer half the package that Rock Band offers in terms of multiplayer and variation. So it's really up to the gamer who decides which game is better. Guitar Hero offers what the previous Guitar Hero games offer, except with better graphics, more songs, harder songs, multiplayer, and more. Rock Band takes the Guitar Hero genre and expands it greatly. View

It may or may not work, there are plenty of great games that were available on the original Xbox. Fable, Halo 1 and 2, Psychonauts, Doom3, Conker's Bad Fur Day, etc... I know a few "graphic junkies" will probably dissagree, but I've been gaming since the original NES. Graphics is only appetizer to gameplay.

It's hard to tell what demographic it's going to spark the interest, but it's obvious that it will grab people's attention. I only have two issues with this though. The first being if you're not an Elite owner, you're stuck with a 20 gig hard drive which can only store 4 games at most. The second being the lock out feature which happens if you lose your connection while downloading. I think to really make the Xbox titles a hit on the 360 they'll need to have good compression on the games and they fix that lock out feature.

I think the answer is not to make finding free content easier, but to make free content more common. Theres too many things on Live Marketplace that costs money that really shouldn't cost anything. Themes, gamerpics, come on. MS said Live is all about finding your own 'image' and personality yet we have to pay for it?

I believe if we pay 60 bucks to get the service then most of the downloads on the service we payed for should to be free. View

Note: Don't "disagree" with me because I defended the 360, I'm unbiased and just stating my opinion.

Theres a flame in the article update, are you kidding me?

This article went from informative to flame bait in a mere sentence.

I gotta defend the 360 here. You can't compare a DVD to a HDD in terms of loading speeds, it's a bit one sided. Come on people it's still the same game when it boils down to it, who gives a damn if one loads faster, only the hardcore loyalist gamers really care in the end. View

Note: I'm not taking any sides, I'm just defending Sakaguchi's opinion.

Sakaguchi's Final Fantasy series was what saved Square from going bankrupt. He's a very well respected figure in the RPG genre creating the most popular RPG series to date. Whether or not he's a 'traitor' his opinion is highly regarded and he's allowed to have his opinion.

I, myself, take it seriously. He left Square after it went down the drain and sold out to Enix and decided to continue making games the way he wants too. Thats heart and soul to me. He's been on every team the industry has currently to offer and right now he's taking a liking to Microsoft. To say he doesn't know what he's talking about considering all the experience he has in the console gaming industry is stupid. Unlike David Jaffe who in my opinion is very biased considering the last time he worked with a console not made by Sony was back in 1994. View

This is good news for us, it keeps Sony and Microsoft at the top of their game and means more games for the consumers. View

Sorry, even if Sony wanted to gain ground in the "next-gen" it would be a joke of a console. Sony got off on calling the Xbox 360 "Xbox 1.5" but seriously, releasing a new console within the next 10 months is bull. It'd just end up being the PS3.3 because they already dumped enough money into the PS3, they can't afford another console right now because any expert in gaming would tell them straight up it wouldn't sell.

It's just not going to happen, no company would do that when they've just released their current gen console and people are finally starting to get used to it's architecture. Even then, no truly next-next-gen games are even being thought of so far, were finally just starting to get the true next gen games and Sony would be pushing for games to be developed faster then they're meant to be. It's like saying Gears of War 2 just came out and they expect Gears of War 3 to come out within the next 2 months with graphics that top Gears of War 2 and any game to come within the next 3 years. Unless Sony got a time machine, the PS4 isn't coming before 2010.

Even if it could venture into the dark depths and pull out a 100.6GHz 40-core CPU and a GPU from the bowels of hell's graphics department and release it in September, I wouldn't buy it or look at it. Why? Because the two placeholders for next-gen games and graphics are already out. If the Xbox 360 was released during the middle of the last-gen wars, it wouldn't of even mattered. The only improvements done in that gen would be the one Xbox already set, aka, online console gaming. You can't force technology to move faster, so if a PS4 comes out all it will have is PS3 and Xbox 360 ports.

But lets say the PS3 has gotten a few years of development and software released onto it, then the PS4 is released with limitless power, then we'll start seeing some true advancement in gaming technology. Consoles are just placeholders for the software. You can give the software all this power, but the software can't utilize all this power without knowing how to utilize it which takes years. Hence why God of War 2 looked as good as it did then you look at a first gen PS2 game and it looks like it came off the PS1. It's just how technology works.

So I call bull on this so called PS3.3 from some website I've never heard of and I'll say it's not coming. I'm plenty happy with my Xbox 360 and the PS3 being the current consoles of this gen. Game on my friends, game on. View

#5 - CaliGamer...
CaliGamer, the PS3 probably would of followed the 360's fate if it was left on with the 360 still on. Any console can overheat, but otherwise he didn't know the kid turned on the PS3. Just a simple accident man, no need to go calling him or his kids stupid. Ignorant maybe, but not stupid.

I find the story funny whether it's the 360, Wii or PS3. When they probably opened the front up it was probably like looking into a heated oven, a blast of heat coming out in their faces. XD View

I thought the Camaro in Detroit vs Japan sounded better then the GT, kinda disappointed. Though when I pick up the game most of what I'll be doing is turning those old classics into some very nice drag muscle cars. View

Are you saying gamers don't have lives?

Thats just a cliché and stereotype put on gamers. Thats pretty much the same as saying somebody who enjoys sports or fixing cars and makes a hobby out of it has no life either. Just because people enjoy gaming to the point wheres it's more then a past time doesn't mean they don't have lives. View

Funny commercial, but you'd have to be a car buff to understand the joke behind it.

It's a take on those rich car company commercials like Acura, Infiniti, BMW, Audi, etc... that advertise their cars as masterpieces, art work, and unremarkable cars. They'll have this voice come up with shots of the car in nice looking backgrounds driving, maybe raining, talking about the car as if it's the most beautiful thing ever remarking about how amazing it is. They always have this calm, new age type music playing in the back too. Thats exactly what this commercial is mocking, by showing cars are quite the opposite. Showing they won't stick to the road like a masterpiece, they won't wow everyone as you drive by, they do get damaged and dented, etc...

It's good to know even racing game commercials have a good sense of humor in the auto industry world. View

Before you read: If you're not going to read all of my comment, and assume it's anti-Playstation just from the first sentence then don't 'Agree' or 'Disagree' at all. This is an unbiased post, I'm just stating my opinion.

Sony went wrong when they were first designing the Playstation 3. First off they assumed their devoted fanbase would never look at the Xbox 360 and would pay for whatever they produced. Which could of been true back when the PS2 was at it's peak, but not anymore.

To me the Playstation 3 seems to be trying to please too many people at once. They want the hardcore gamers and the casual gamers at the same time, but they also want the media nuts. Thats where they went wrong, they forgot that the Playstation is a gaming console not a media center. I never bought my Playstation 2 thinking "Wow, I can't wait to play my movies on this thing!" I bought it thinking "Damn, can't wait to play Grand Theft Auto 3 and Final Fantasy X." So yeah, all these extra "necessary" things like Blu-Ray and a 60GB harddrive is the reason Sony f*cked up. They focused on including everything and now people are refusing to pay the price. I mean really, do we need Six-Axis, or a 60 gig hard drive to store movies? Last time I checked it's a gaming console, though it seems like everyones advertising consoles as "media consoles" now.

Even to me the Xbox 360 is overpriced, gaming isn't a cheap hobby anymore it's now a expense. But I supposed thats what you gotta pay for next gen. Thats where Sony also messed up, they underestimated their competition and overminded their own fanbase. They assumed that Microsoft and Nintendo didn't have a leg to stand on, unfortunately it didn't turn out that way.

Now don't get me wrong, it sounds like I got beef with Sony but thats completely wrong. I'm pro-gaming altogether. If Sony hadn't entered the competition, gaming would of progressed MUCH slower for consoles, hell consoles might of been taken out altogether back in the late 90's. Until the Playstation came out consoles were going downhill at that point. Sony brought in the true competition and overtook Nintendo which at the time nobody thought could happen, just like nobody thought anybody could overtake Sony. Well it happened. Even super-companies like Sony can make mistakes, unfortunately, for the Playstation brand it's left quite a big dent in their legacy as top console.

Just my 2 cents... Long live gaming! View

Not only does it show how accurate they made the cars engine note sound, but it looks amazing. A few spots I paused and went "Holy crap."

Not only that, the Camaro won. Yay! =D View
