How about a full scale cruise ship?
Well, maybe not FULL scale, but roomy enough for 32 vs 32 - promenade and upper decks would be wide open and invite sniping possibilities, whereas the majority of the interior would be classic CQB, with long narrow stretches to encourage players to use the open decks. Firefights in the nightclub (strobe/light effects & shattering glass environments and props a definite plus), casino and central lobby would be highlights. View

@ Hydrolex
KZ2 on 360s wouldn't even be possible. Unless they grew 8 SPUs overnight.

EDIT:

I stand corrected. The above statement should read:

"KZ2 on 360s wouldn't even be possible. Unless they grew

1 PPE (Power Processor Element)
* 3.2Ghz
* 64 bit, Big Endian
* 2 threads (can run at same time)
* L1 cache: 32kB data + 32kB instruction
* L2 cache: 512kB
* Memory bus width: 64bit (serial)
* VMX (Altivec) instruction set support
* Full IEEE-754 compliant

8 SPE (Synergistic Processing Element)
* 3.2Ghz
* 64 bit, Big Endian
* 1 SPE disabled to improve chip yield
* 1 SPE dedicated for hypervisor security
* 256kB local store per SPE
* 128 registers per SPE
* Dual Issue (Each SPE can execute 2 instructions per clock)
* IEEE-754 compliant in double precision (single precision round-towards-zero instead of round-towards-even)

overnight."

WHAT WE SHOULDN'T TOLERATE...
is other people telling us what we should or shouldn't tolerate. Far be it for me to defend a "rape simulator" (which apparently it's not), but if this game gets banned, it's a slippery slope before games with any "objectionable material" start getting banned. As Voltaire is oft misquoted as saying, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." View

@ Omega4
Because there's more to a game than hype and review scores. Halo 3 has already been out for a while, so people have played it and found their own experience didn't live up to the scores. Since KZ2 isn't out yet, it's too early to say whether it's been overhyped or not. BTW, why bring Halo into it? Defensive much? View

@Omega4
I think when an overhyped game consistently scores high DESPITE its overhyping, that indicates an excellent game. Edge was trying to score some cheap hits with its troll of a review score and now its credibility is suffering. View

What ever happened to...
getting a return on your investment? Agreed with 357, SCEA needs to go with someone new. Sony was nowhere on the mass media radar for 2008 (at least in North America) - except maybe for a few weeks after BD "won" the HD format war. That being said, the UK has apparently overtaken Japan as the second largest video game market - so I'm sure Sony can certainly claim some credit for that. View

Splitscreen co-op on R6 Vegas 1 & 2 saves both players' progress independently...
...without requiring players to log in to PSN separately. Insomniac decided during development that they would tie co-op in more closely with the competitive multi-player (saving to the same profile), requiring separate PSN logins for each player. While this makes sense for online co-op, it's baffling why two people playing the same game in the same room would require separate logins - if he has his own PSN account, why the hell would you play splitscreen when you can play together online? While it looks like I'm the only one upset by this, it was still a poor decision on Insomniac's part. View

LMAO - Play magazine is a joke...
They don't even keep their old review scores online, because of how laughable they are in retrospect. Thanks to IGN's 6.6, I KNOW this game is a rental (despite being a huge Afro fan). View

Split-screen Co-Op is BROKEN in R2
Please, Insomniac, lose the half-assed class-based co-op and just give us the single-player campaign with 2+ players, like co-op is supposed to be. And maybe you could let the second player save their character's progress, so my friend doesn't have to start at lvl 1 EVERY TIME WE START A NEW SESSION. Already blew $60 on R2 - you can bet I won't drop a dime on R3 until I hear the awesome co-op EVERYBODY LOVED from R1 is back. View

It'd be nice if...
...half the the games were actually OUT. If I had a pre-release copy of

Skate 2
Killzone 2
Street Fighter IV
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

is there any reason I wouldn't sell it for 2x the price on craigslist? Could probably get 4 to 5 times the price for KZ2...

Thx to nextgenplayer for keeping us posted, but seriously... Future Shop needs to offer better trade-ins on games that people actually HAVE. View

b-b-but, but...
you can TOUCH IT!!! Y'know, kinda like an iTouch/iPhone - except a lot more expensive and not portable. </sarcasm> Maybe if MS had been more aggressive with their pricing and concerned with getting a wider install base while animated touchscreen tech still had its novelty (i.e before the iPhone came out), they could've seen some kind of appreciable adoption rate amongst small businesses/retailers or even private citizens (Borders/Starbucks would've made ideal partners). Instead, Surface is relegated to being a (once) high-tech luxury item for large corporations and tech companies, used more for exhibitions than serving any practical function. View
