... if sony would hurry the hell up. It's been 2 weeks and I havent played 1 single mission of GTA4 due to freezing within 5 seconds of playing. All I know as I was on the phone with tech support last night i was told that they still dont know what is causing the problem :( View

Actually, the E-mail from rockstar came to me directly, but seeing as n4g requires me to add a link and wont allow me to post original news, I had to use a forum post. But Rockstar sent out the same e-mail to many ppl, if you dont believe me... go ahead and call them, re-read what i wrote and they will confirm it. View

I don't know how to express to everyone that i have indeed tried everything that one could possibly do. and i dont freeze every 15 minutes... if I could play for 15 minutes at a time I'd be in heaven right now. As it stands I cannot play more than 20 seconds and on average its usually a lot less than that. I got this E-mail from R* directly before submitting it and am nowhere near an xbot. Ive never owned an xbox, never plan on owning one and waited all night for my launch PS3, which R* is now telling me is defective in some way. Sony better hurry the hell up and say SOMETHING. I just know that if i have to pay to get it fixed im gonna be pissed. View

Hidef, you really gotta trust me, i have tried everything humanely possible. I have exchanged discs, un-installed and re-installed more than 10 times, deleted all save data, changed every setting the PS3 has to change, tried the silly "12 steps". nothing works. View

Sure wish mine did. Every other game on it works fine. If I have to pay to get it repaired I may have just spent $60 on a GTA4 T-Shirt :( View

clearly not bogus, if it was i wouldnt be sitting here not playing my new copy of gta4. the game just freezes my PS3 up after 10-20 seconds of gameplay, everytime... all my other games work just fine. View

sonarus, it installs fine, begins the game, then crashes during the openeing cutscene, or if you skip the cutscene it crashes about 20 seconds after gameplay. View

It's not just the collectors version, the normal one freezes mine just after or during the opening cutscene. deleting and reinstalling does nothing to stop it. Did they even bother to test these on 60 launch systems? View
