Terrible Journalism, at its best?
This guy is a fraud, and a dismay for all journalists everywhere. He practically wrote the book on how NOT to be a good Journalist. He uses yellow journalism and black culture to make a niche where only uneducated, baited people will watch and enjoy, he needs to be removed from this site. He has zero credibility, and spams the web with his garbage. View

You console players obviously wouldn't care about Dedicated Servers, as you've never really EXPERIENCED them. Ignorance is bliss. View

Not to put anyones hopes down, or what not - but I think the showing of the controllers is just implicating how far we've come since the old days... it was simply detailing the evolution from one major leap to the next. That's all... View

Political Correctness is...
Absolute bullpuckey. ( Can't swear on here. :O ) We live in a time and age where we have to consider every word coming out of our mouth in worry of hurting someones feelings. This is a waste of time, has anyone ever seen Full Metal Jacket? Do you think Kubrick was worried about whom he would offend when he made the film? No. He made it because he wanted to tell a story. These games are art, and with our first amendment, we have the right to freedom of expression, and nothing should violate that.

I say here here, make the game, and make a statement. Vietnam vets may or may not be proud of the conflict they fought in, but they sure as hell are proud of one thing. Fighting, and defending the rights I speak of now. They would not want, and do not want, some bureaucratic jerkoff to tell people how to tell stories.

If you read Blizzard EULA, it explains that the account you pay for and put time into doesn't even belong to you, it belongs to Blizzard. Therefore, anything that happens on these accounts is Blizzard's responsibility, ergo, they are liable for this. The player should not be punished, someone should be fired for screwing up his job. 159 days of time is a large investment, that's almost half a YEAR devoted to a single character, not even counting all the alts he may of had. I would push for a lawsuit, because this is one of those incidents where a suit maybe required. I would sue for all the months of paid subscription plus investment of time devoted to what could of been other things ( jobs, etc ) I'm no lawyer, but in this liberal world we live in - this guy would have more than a case. Well..
I have to agree with Ghoul on this,

To not allow people to experience the wonderful story-telling extravaganza that is The Witcher is not only selfish thinking, but total ignorance. The Witcher did NOT do well in sales, and I want more Witcher! So I'm all for a PC to Console port ( Not the other way around mind you. ) to bring new audiences to this marvelous world of adult fantasy. View

Yeah, fakefactory butchered HL2 with his 'realism' mods. I really never liked his stuff after a few releases, and stopped supporting his mod. It makes all the women look identical, and slutty. That's not realistic - at all. View

Yes, yes, I'm sure you're so high and mighty. The fact of the matter is ... well you're wrong! Your intelligence through and throughout has been rather disappointing on any subject you take up with me. You always come into the argument trying to one-up the person whom stated their facts right the first time. God forbid anyone give your beloved PS3 distaste, because you would live and die for your system would you not? As far as I'm concerned, you're nothing but a trivial waste. You always seem to think that if anyone challenges you, they're deliberately insulting you. Which in this case, let me be clear, you're on a very unstable pedestal. You're not right on this instance, as I researched this exact topic many months ago when I had the same question. Every single AV expert gave me the rundown and told me exactly what settings I should use on my 52" LCD ( LN52A750 ) which is a top-of-the line television that I don't think you'll come across anytime soon. I know the settings to use for high end televisions, and if you're running on a 2001-2002 era HDTV that used DVI input or BASE HDMI as PC input, then tada you should use Full, because the PS3 will upsample and convert the 16-235 that it is programmed to output to 'appear' correct on those televisions. On any modern HDTV, using these will result in off whites and crushed blacks. Anyone who disagrees with me on this has problems in their TV configuration. View

I love how the PS3 fanboys 'disagreed' with me because I proved them wrong. I hate fanboys, they're ruining this site. View
259 days 23 hours ago
Ghoul, obviously you're not aware that all these PS3 games are devised for the standard 16-235 output. So therefore, you are wrong. These games were designed, as the movies were, for that output. Thus using a 0-255 crushes blacks and offsets whites. You get a WORSE picture if you're using a 0-255 setting on a 16-235 TV ( which ALL modern HDTVs are. )

Ghoul is also the same idiot whom tried to 'prove' me wrong months ago on a similar topic of the XBOX 360 vs the PS3's graphical horsepower. I proved him wrong on a number of occasions and he will always 'disagree' with me regardless of his 'facts.' I wouldn't take anything Ghoul has to say with merit as he is nothing but a fanboy. View

The fanboyism in that comment is disgusting. Both games use the exact same source material. The 360 and PS3 have identical textures, and what not. To say otherwise is absolute ignorance on your part.

Now if you want to talk about better looking games, take a look at the PC. I'll enjoy my 2560x1600 resolutions, higher textures, 16x AF and 8x AA. Enjoy your fanboyism, I'll enjoy 60+ FPS of High Def goodness. View

Just so you are aware, the FULL RGB settings are for OLDER PC-level color TVs. Turning on the Full RGB settings on TVs will make the colors look darker, but it will also crush the blacks and cause problems in the output of the picture. What they should change that setting to say is "PC RGB" or "TV RGB".

I made this post on the IGN boards not too long ago to someone who said something very similar to what you said.

"RGB Full, before anyone says a word, is misleading. It is meant for PC style DVI displays that used 0-255 color values as base. Modern HDTV's used 16-235, and using Full compresses these channels and resamples the color data - which can accentuate or even cause additional banding."

Now you know why this setting is not used for PROFESSIONAL reviewers. View

Another terrible article - with terrible grammar might I add.
With a myriad of unprofessional typos, surprise surprise, a HHG has also terrible grammar. Followed up by terrible writing as well!

If you read the article title, we actually "Do get nothing" out of achievements. The correct grammar would be "We don't get ANYTHING out of it." Stupid, stupid, stupid HHG. Plague upon this site, and journalism as a whole. View

You know...
Awhile back I was commenting on how HHG is ruining journalism on a whole, I explained how I thought he was the bane of gaming and how terrible of a contributer he is. How his articles held no weight, and that he was nothing but a plague. You know what I was called? Racist. You all, the same people who are against him now sided with him when I called this guy out and made him realize how fake he was. Months later, looks like I was ahead of my time. This guy needs to be removed from this website, and from the gaming industry as a whole. He brings nothing to to table and if anything takes away credibility from gaming journalists. The train stops here HHG, time to take your things and leave. I never wanted you, and now neither do they. OUT! View
