"The Wii really isn't the same as PS3 and Xbox 360. You can't even save music or videos on it. The game-play is completely different than on PS3 and Xbox 360"
These kinds of statements are really pointless. Never have systems been exactly the same, and if it was all about keeping systems the same and never trying new things, we'd probably still be playing 8-bit games on crappy D-pads.
It's worse now that even the companies are starting to claim these things...
Many markets experience change and variety, this is what keeps the market competitive and growing. Sony's just in denial so they don't have to face competition.
"Nintendo showed that you can make a fortune off of shovelware and required peripherals?"
Nintendo's not dishing out shovelware, and you talk as if Nintendo invented shovelware. These companies didn't pop out of no-where, they follow the most popular console. Am I the only one who remembers how many crappy games were on the PS-One, PS2, and other consoles?
" I don't want a game where to have to act like your swinging a tennis racket to play it-- I'll just go play tennis if I want to do that. Likewise with golf, or whatever."
Well I wish I had a tennis court, a bowling alley, golf course, etc all in my bedroom at once. Sure doing the real thing is great...but does this mean you're against every hockey, football, basketball, skateboarding, and baseball game ever created?
After all, I know *I'd* rather just go do the real thing.
