The Eye Toy is *not* capable of depth perception, and that article proclaims. The Eye Toy judges movement by reading light sources, and watching for movement and changes in those light sources. The Natal is a simplified version of the kind of camera used for motion capturing, which is why it can accurately emulate people's physical body movements.
