This is what happens when the MP team gets axed on release day
You get a patch that comes out four months after release and fixes a few of the many bugs in the sad multiplayer. I doubt anybody is playing this online anymore. Nice work Activision. View

I thought the story was good
The "generic" parts were designed to be just that. 9 out of 10 times you put in some complex story with some unique ideas and it goes over most people's heads and is completely lost and then most people will be saying how confusing the story was... Why not have a story that's simple, effective and captures almost all the audience? View

They got bought out, went to valve for free, played l4d2 for free. Probably were asked to get the group closed in a few weeks. And that's exactly what has happened. Who knows what other goodies they were promised.
