Not necessary? Don't be naive bro. Not everyone lives and breathes on the Internet and in the game stores. Obviously most gamers and diehards to the series know that this game is coming out and have known so for months. But, to sit there and say there isn't an audience of people who don't know is just wrong. Marketing 101...there's always a potential customer around the corner.

The game will sell great I'm sure. But, Sony is missing a chance to sell consoles with a lack of marketing. This is a flagship title. I know people are saying they've seen 1 or 2 ads but I haven't seen any. I sure am getting NG2 shoved down my face though (and every other MS exclusive for that matter). This game should be whored out all over TV. View

Wow...what a bold statement to make that you will outsell R2 (sarcasm). I sure hope so, considering you have a 6 million unit lead over the PS3.

Both games will be great. R2 will have a longer campaign, more weapons, more maps, and a better multiplayer, Gears will have better graphics...just like the first time around.

If you want to use sales figures as a representation of who wins, then sure, Gears 2 will outsell R2. I'll concede that now. But, as a gamer, R2 will be the better experience. That's not a knock on Gears because I'm sure that game will be great too. View

I think the game is too easy, personally. It's been a while since I've played the old GTA's but I remember them being more difficult. You can plow cops in this game and not even attract attention. I have yet to get busted by the cops and I'm 60% thru the game. I've also yet to die on any mission that I went in with full health and armor. Sometimes I go in with half health and no armor just for a challenge.

I don't understand why they made it so easy.

Other than that, and some horrible camera angles at times, the game is great. View

No problems here. Played for about 3 hours so far on separate PS3's (both 60 gig). Only bought one copy but me and the g/f both have PS3's. She played first and we watched all the cut scenes, etc, etc...no probs. I installed the data on mine and skipped the cutscenes on mine and haven't had a problem on that one either. View

Here's my problem with Killzone 2. It's been in development for god knows how many years, and who knows if they're even close to done. I'll be surprised if it comes out in 08. This game will have to absolutely unequivocally destroy all games to live up to the hype and standards that have been building up around it over the years. Otherwise, it's going to be considered a flop. And, that's unfortunate. I really want this game to do well but I just don't know if it's possible to live up to 3 years of hype. View
