First of all, this isn't rare or unique.
On Blackrock (PvP server), every time the server is down and Argent Dawn (RP server) is up, a mass army of gnome alts gathers in Ironforge.

There's a guild called "Exiles of Blackrock."

Natsu completely misses the point.
A game being released for both 360 and PC is not an exclusive.

A game not being released for PC or PS3 or Wii, but on 360, is a 360-exclusive.

The people calling the 360 & PC games not exclusive are correct, and there's no connection between them being upset that Alan Wake is not being released on PC. A lot of them probably were hoping to play it on PC and don't have a 360.

No correlation. View

Apparently Way of the Samurai 3 is coming to 360, but I'm still looking forward to God of War 3, FF Versus XIII, Twisted Metal PS3, Infamous, the rest of GT5, Uncharted 2, the new Team ICO title, the inevitable Jak IV, LA Noire, new Shin Megami Tensei, Dark Cloud 3, Sly 4, Zone of the Enders 3, Heavy Rain, Yakuza 3, Fat Princess, Time Crisis, MAG, LocoRoco, SOCOM, Ridge Racer, Kingdom Hearts 3, Killzone 2, White Knight Story, and Red Dead Revolver 2.

360 has Mass Effect 2 (likely to come out on PC also), some new Halo crap, and the vaporware that is Alan Wake that we have no clue about.

I'll take PS3 this year. View

I happen to enjoy a lot of the games on my Wii, though it certainly is lacking in a few areas.

Am waiting for Boom Blox and de Blob to get cheaper at the moment while playing through NMH, RE4, SMG, and Twilight Princess again.

Stuck in Metroid Prime 3 also, atm.

Monster Hunter is going to be sweet, though, I am almost sure. View

To quote Ben S. Dutka:

"Total Wii Games over 90%: 6
Total PS3 Games over 90%: 6 "

Both of these numbers are actually wrong, though. There are only 5 PS3 titles and 5 Wii titles over 90% on Gamerankings. GTA4, MGS4, CoD4, Oblivion, and Rock Band for PS3. 3 of those titles are multi-plat.

And the 360's number is 14, not 15, and of those 14, only 3 are 360 exclusive.

On Wii, it's Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Twilight Princess, RE:4, and Okami. Prime 3 is at 89.713%, though. Also, all of these titles are exclusive, especially when you consider the revamped control system for the two remakes. They might as well be exclusive because they're that different than the PS2 or Gamecube versions.

I was really hoping that you'd name these numerous PS3 and 360 "AAA" titles after saying none of the Wii's can compete and that there aren't any coming.

I'll agree with MGS4, Ratchet & Clank: ToD, and Uncharted, though. Even though the latter two didn't even make it to the FIVE PS3 games over 90% according to Gamerankings. As far as exclusive is concerned, there are only these three titles around the 90% mark.

Also, average review sites like Gamerankings.com and metacritic are really poor indicators of quality.

There are actually 64 games over 80% on PS3 total, also. 25 Wii games over 80%, too. 102 360 games over 80%. I'm starting to wonder where you got your numbers from.

You really seemed to have some bias even when looking at number averages.

even when we go to the "top 50 of 2008," the Wii has 4 titles, not 2. The PS3 actually has 12, not 9. The difference here is that the majority of the PS3 and 360 titles are multi-plat. 360 has 14, not 12. These PS3 games and 360 games include: Devil May Cry 4(multi), GTA 4(multi), Metal Gear Solid 4, Burnout Paradise (multi), Braid, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Rez HD (Dreamcast/PS2), Ikaruga (Gamecube/PS2/maybe Dreamcast), Bionic Commando Rearmed (PC/360/PS3), Madden '09(multi), Grid(multi), MLB '08 THe Show(multi), Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009(multi), Civ Revolution(multi), and Battlefield: Bad Company(multi). The only exclusives are on XBLA or are MGS4. View

Blatant ignorance. All you've seen is a little gameplay and some trailers.

Have you played GTA4 or Crackdown, even?

That said, I'm anticipating its release, but don't count your chickens before they hatch. View

How do you know that?

Secondly, have you played Crackdown?

This does look awesome, but don't count your chickens before they hatch. View

How is this a change in attitude? Was he previously a 360 fanboy and has jumped ship to Sony to do the same thing?

Not that I disagree in the matter of exclusives coming to either system.

MS has very little as far as upcoming exclusives. Viva Piñata 2, Banjo, Halo Wars, a Star Ocean game, the PC-bound Fable 2, and the PC-bound Gears of War 2.

Still, though, it's an ignorant statement aimed directly at his fellow sony fanboy brethren.

But, to think that MS is going away from the console market is simply ignorant. View

Actually, everything "we've" said does mean something.
No one said you didn't like fun games. A lot of hardcore games are fun. A lot of hardcore gamers enjoy casual games.

Any core gamer knows a good game when he sees one.

That said, you're right in that the majority of quality titles currently released are NOT on the Wii.

That doesn't change the fact that there are between 8 and a dozen really good titles already released, nor the fact that 2009 looks awesome for Nintendo (even though I'm anticipating most of the PS3's exclusives more so). No More Heroes, Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros. Brawl, RE4 remake, Okami remake, Twilight Princess, Warioware, Rayman Raving Rabbids.... There's lots to play. I didn't even list Super Paper Mario or Boom Blox, but some would.

Microsoft really doesn't have much for 2009 that they've announced. Even this year, there's not much. Fable 2 and Gears 2 end up on PC and Viva Piñata and Banjo aren't necessarily console-sellers.

In 2009, they've got a Star Ocean game and Halo Wars. That's really it. I'm not aware of any other MS exclusives in 2009 other than these two titles.

The PS3 has a mega-ton list of upcoming titles which it deserves credit for, but, again, that doesn't change the fact that the Wii is right behind in the matter of exclusives and retains the larger installed base.

Monster Hunter 3 (this one may come to PS3 still, but it's confirmed for Wii), MadWorld, The Conduit, Little King's Story, Obouro Muramasa Youtoden, Tenchu IV, Fatal Frame IV, Deadly Creatures, Dokapon Kingdom, Mushroom Men, Tales of Symphonia 2, the new version of Dead Rising for those who didn't experience it on 360, and Pikmin 3 (maybe not 2009, but it's in development) are looking solid.

There's your answer for doing the "same thing" with 2009. If you were to write off anyone at this point, it should be Microsoft.

And as a matter of fact, you seem to have zero knowledge about the Wii's upcoming library. View

Author is perpetuating his misinformed ignorance.

I've personally raided every single Horde city in WoW as a Draenei Paladin, succeeding in killing all the city leaders except the one(s) in Undercity.

You simply CAN do it, my friend. View

I agree with some of the author's ideas here... unfortunately, I'm banned from the gamer zone for 2 days for calling the Denis Dyack on N4G "annoying."
However, I think he's a little too hard on the powerhouse that is Nintendo. He mentions how they didn't show a Monster Hunter trailer at E3, but we all know it's coming. I, personally, was disappointed with the press conference, but, after all, it's just an f'ing press conference. For the press. It doesn't change the fact that the games exist, regardless of whether the big N wants to talk about them.

Pikmin 3 will come, Monster Hunter 3 is sure to be great. Obouro Muramasa Youtoden looks interesting. Mad World looks like a lot of fun. The 2D Wario looks fun (I don't know why everyone is hating on this game) and refreshing. Deadly Creatures is very intriguing. The Conduit will fill a gap in the Wii's lineup to join Prime 3. The new version of Dead Rising will be fun for those who didn't catch it on 360 (I still have my copy). Dokapon Kingdom, Mushroom Men, Little King's Story, and Tales of Symphonia all look solid.

Tenchu IV and Fatal Frame IV could surprise a lot of people, too.

The third party support has gotten much stronger in the last two years. I look forward to at least a dozen titles on my Wii and there are at least 8 games (more depending on your tastes, but I think the 8 I list below before Mario Party appeal to any hardcore gamer - - other people would add Super Paper Mario, Boom Blox, Fire Emblem, etc.) worth owning on the system today. That's enough for me to hold onto it, especially knowing all the really promising titles on the horizon.

SMG
Zelda
Prime 3
No More Heroes (favorite game on the system)
RE4 (Wii version is the best version)
Okami (Wii version is the best version)

and if you have friends over to play games a lot

Rayman Raving Rabbids
Warioware: Smooth Moves
Mario Party 17 (haha, it's a high number of some sort now -- I prefer the two titles above this, also)

It's definitely a good time to have a Wii. I wish I didn't buy mine til recently :p, but that doesn't change the fact that there's going to be far more to play on the Wii than the 360 (Star Ocean 4, a pretty meh-looking Banjo, the PC-bound Fable 2 and Gears 2, and Halo Wars is pretty much all they've got).

However, if a new Killer Instinct comes out any time soon, I'd be in heaven for a while on 360. The d-pad will still blow ass though and I'll be wishing the whole time that it was released on PS3. View
