Excuse me, but I'll take an interactive medium which gives me between 7-100 hours of enjoyment over a disconnected experience worth only 2-3 hours of enjoyment any day. View

Vgchartz is useful to get a good basis for what the actual numbers will look like, but nobody should take them seriously. I don't think anybody can dispute that the PS3 had a killer week though.

BTW: Nice username, submitter. ;) View

Why the hell would the PS3 want to catch up to the DS?
Totally different markets... But then again, it's pretty much impossible to be sure of anything you say because of your atrocious use of punctuation... View

I've come to a conclusion....

That is all. Good night. View

I know English isn't everyone's first language...
...But Jesus Christ, I thought that punctuation was universal. If your command of punctuation is equivalent to your skills on the track, it's no wonder that you aren't able to enjoy GT.

By the way, if you had a single brain cell left in your head maybe you would realize that the time trial looks worse because you are comparing a 200 MB demo which has been compressed to hell to a retail game (which is still a demo, haha).

And as for Prologue not driving as well as Forza... If you had been paying attention to developments (but I'm assuming that you are not able to read. What a shame.) then you would know that Prologue's physics engine is nowhere near that of the final product. Mmhmm. View

GEE I WONDER WHY YOU ARE SLIDING OUT OF CONTROL
MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE A SH*T DRIVER.

@1.18
...Did you seriously just try linking to a folder on your computer? With that level of technological sophistication, I'm frankly surprised that you were able to get online with your PS3, hell... How did you even manage to plug it in? Fail.

And I bet you are getting bad times because:
A) You don't have a wheel
B) You just suck. :p

Just because you are inept at racing sims doesn't mean the physics are bad. View

The quote is wrong. I'll fix it for you guys:

"The coverage begins today at 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET." In other words, a little under an hour and a half.

Reading can be both fun and informative! You should try it sometime. View

Is it just me or...
Did they totally leave out Gran Turismo for the PSP? The only racing game in there that I can see is Motor Storm.

There was never a U.S. release date...
...So I'm not sure what you're talking about. The "early 2010" is March for Japan. View

I can't speak for everyone, but...
The only reason I don't play games in the summer is because there are no games to play. Seriously, with all the major releases either hitting the beginning or ending of the year, I'm actually quite glad that I will have GT5 to fill up the long summer. View

""He is a professional with many years of experience behind him. You’re not."
Comment from Sterling straight from his review of The Saboteur: "Also, butthurt Assassin's Creed 2 fanboys need to stop polluting my lovely review of the better game."

LOL, that's professional all right.

As someone who has put over 100 hours into Mercs 2 and loved every minute of it, I have to say: I'm pretty excited for The Saboteur. But then again, I'm an absolute sucker for open world games.

I don't know, we'll see. The game is averaging around an 8, I think, which is my cutoff point for spending $60. View

Is it just me or...
...are modern settings turning into the new WWII? I'd actually prefer Medal of Honor to go explore WWII some more (there are still battles and stories that have gone untold, despite the apparent saturation of the market) instead of modern warfare. Hell, maybe even something like Vietnam or the Korean War. In fact, why do these games have to involve America at all? There are so many other wars with great potential to make a fun and original game out there.

Screw this and screw Call of Duty, I want some original settings and original stories. There's so much potential for a historical setting or even modern setting that doesn't involve the Middle East or the basic WWII stories that everybody knows. I want new settings and new stories, and if that is not possible then I want the developers to explore them and take them to new levels. Get intricate. Get into the details. Do proper research. Show the smaller stories, the ones aren't mentioned constantly in the history books. SHOW ME SOMETHING I HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE IN A VIDEO GAME. Every war and every battle (no matter how seemingly insignificant) has a story, but developers are foregoing these for the usual generic stories we see in these games.

For this unoriginality, we have the sheepish and content masses to thank. The one's that don't care about characterization or plot or the emotional qualities of a game and instead focus on the action. And it may seem wrong for a "shooter" to focus on plot instead of "shooting," but it is damn well possible, and it would add heaps of value to the game. It IS possible to mix in a solid, interesting, and original plot with engaging and intuitive action. But that isn't where the money is, although I certainly wish it was. It's being done with 3rd person action games so why can't it be done in 1st person? Half-Life has shown us that it can, so why not take that sort of storytelling and implement it in realistic scenarios? It's more than possible.

I'm sick of shooters. I pick one up and say "I've done this sh*t before; I don't care about it." And I know that this can go for any genre of games, but at least they sprinkle original settings, stories, or gameplay mechanics on top of them.

Although I will make ONE concession: I'm glad that they are at least basing the story around real events and people. Sounds so much better for the sh*t that comes out of Call of Duty. View

Meh
It's the same with every simulator. Racing sims, flight sims (especially flight sims), train sims, etc etc etc. all have hundreds of addons.

Nothing to really be surprised about; I know many simmers who have spent thousands on beefing up one particular sim. It is a hobby, after all. View

Maybe they'll pull an Assassins Creed and turn things around for the better...
Far Cry 2 wasn't bad, after all. There were some pretty disappointing issues but I feel that they were blown out of proportion -- it was still a decent game... If you played with the right mindset (sneaking around stealthily and taking time to play things out was always fun).

I have hopes for the 3rd to be incredible. View

You've got to assume a reasonable limit on these things...
And Sony is also assuming that you don't take things literally, like an idiot.

Protip: 90% of marketing lines are BS. Get used to it; it's nothing new and pretty much EVERY company exaggerates here and there in order to get a message across to consumers or make a catchy phrase/jingle.

I find it hard to believe that you could be so naive. View
