Looks good
Anyone play Gyrostarr at all? I'm a fan of that game, but I wish there were more online capabilities for it. Maybe we'll see some good multiplayer and online functionality in this one? View

Absolutely
And while I've heard these sorts of stories before, I think it is nice to see that amongst the things this organization decided would make a great thanks for these troops' service, a game console is on that list. View

Re-download?
I absolutely hated Nintendo's vision of a re-download service. At some point they finally had to realize that we hated having to delete WiiWare and VC games in order to download others.

Even 2-4 gigs of extra space won't last me very long. I wonder how big these downloadable songs will be? View

@IanCube
I think this is a step in the right direction, though. I think logic will tell most readers of the study that if more "immersive" controls aren't doing any damage, neither will pushing buttons. View

The categories?
I'm just curious about how the categories are setup. How come the Wii and 360 are different from video games?

My guess is that the video games portion includes the physical games for the system, like Wii Fit or something. That way, the only thing beating out the console, are the games a parent will buy for the console they already own. View

I wouldn't say that either, necessarily
You're right, they are upping production. There is no doubt about that. But I'm talking long-term. The Wii was limited to begin with, and the demand increased. Then they increased production for last holiday season, and the demand rose even more as they became limited again. I don't think they are producing less, by any means.

If I could revise what I said to include the fact that their supplies are closely monitored, I think you may see what I am implying. The marketing of the Wii has been outstanding, their supplies are no doubt part of that. View

Could this have a chilling effect?
Perhaps further enforcement would make third-parties shy away from even bothering to develop on the platform. This kind of chilling effect could make games like The Conduit not even exist. View

Right
There really shouldn't be any comparison between GH/RB and Wii Music. It is unfortunate that the game hasn't seemed to turn out like it should, it seems like it had potential to be great, but it is as if they gave up on it.

I just think we shouldn't be tethering ourselves to what we think some games SHOULD be at times. Not all music games need to be like the top two successful ones. Yes, they are great, but I like diverse experiences. It's like Madden to me. View

@Product
I never said there is a small demand, I said they keep SMALL SUPPLIES. There is a big difference. By keeping supplies limited, the demand is higher. Therefore the console will sell well over a longer timespan, delaying the possibility of a price drop. I'm talking about supply and demand. View

Exactly
That's basically how the Wii keeps selling so well; with such small supplies, they may not have to do a price-drop for years to come... View

Yeah, right?
It's not like she's some amazingly hot actress that deserves recognition for playing video games, right?

...Right? View

What a nice video. I'm going to have to go play this game now. View

That's fine
That's fine, because it is listed as an article. Here's N4G's policies regarding that:

"Article: Use this for articles that are not news, like editorials , guides, and other pieces of written martial that is not a news story."

I don't intend to post it as news. I didn't try to write a news lead, did I?

By the way, if you know your news values from any classes you've taken, you'll know that it can be considered newsworthy. If you do not like my writing, feel free to say so. But stretching your distaste out into other accusations isn't very 'fair' to me.

I appreciate your input, however! What do you think Nintendo should have said, or would be funny to hear them say? View

Of course it's made up
Isn't that the point? I hope you enjoyed the culmination of all internet conversations dealing with Nintendo's E3 presentation, because that's what this is.

I decided to pull together different points of view and sketch out the raw language of forum-goers in a hilariously un-funny article that makes fun of gamers as much as it does the industry.

So if you have any outrage against the "points" made in the article, then this is for you, just not in the way you think.

Hope you all enjoyed it, it would be cool to see what other people think Nintendo should (or shouldn't) say. View

confused
a) How do I change this story to be in a more proper location? I thought that marking it as an article fit the best.

b) If you read all of the comments, you see that I both support and bash Nintendo fully, FYI. I'm more or less listing out the things I read all of the time.

c) Thanks for the feedback, guys! View
