Does your e-pen*s somehow grow by calling people "xbugs"? Does that make you original or special? Stop calling people names and throwing up baseless facts to justify your PS3 purchase. I spent $600 on my 360 w/HD DVD drive and I'm enjoying HD movies and quality games NOW, not "in the near future". I'm glad you're enjoying your PS3, it's a great machine...but stop calling people names b/c they thought that the 360 was a better deal. It doesn't make them stupid, or ignorant, or any other derogatory term. It just means that they have different taste.

Also, back on topic...are people really going to claim victory for Blu-ray b/c of the titles listed here? I don't know anyone who would be interested in purchasing any of those movies. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure Blu-ray is going to win, but not because of these titles. View

I do wonder how many Blu-ray fans would support HD DVD if that was Sony's product. I could care less about who backs it, I like HD DVD because of it's extra features, less encryption, and the lack of region lockout so I can import HD DVDs from other countries. View

Why is this make it a great day for PS3 fans? If Microsoft jumped out of the gaming business today, would that make the games on your PS3 more fun?

Even if Epic did have this amazing 30 GB game that you speak of (could you provide a link verifying that please?) why couldn't it just be multiple DVD's? Final Fantasy VII on PS1 was three CD's if I remember correctly and it was one of the best games ever made. If you had to switch disks once every 10-15 hours of gameplay, would that make the game completely unplayable? Would it no longer be fun?

I truely don't understand why Blu-ray is so important for games. Switching disks is not that big of a deal. Before you start chanting "Xbot" or "fanboy" at me, let me say that I actually do think that the PS3 is a great system and probably worth the money in the long run. However, it's NOT because the games will be magically better than the 360 because of it's Blu-ray player. If you really want to watch HD movies on your gaming system, it's the way to go. I however just want to play great games...so the 360 was my system of choice. I can add an HD DVD player to watch movies if I so choose, and if Blu-ray wins the war I'm sure Microsoft will give me a Blu-ray add-on drive.

Then the second person adds to the conversation (an Xbox owner), then the third person starts yelling at Xbox owners again. Grow up people. The term "Xbot" is getting really old...at least come up with something original.

Anyway, I'm certainly hoping that HD-DVD "wins" this battle, but not because I hate Sony. Blu-ray not only costs more, it has extra layers of copy protection and region encoding that limit people's fair use of the media. Ever wonder why more movie studios are backing Blu-ray? It's because it has better copy protection and they can keep you from coping movies to your computer or making legitimate backups of your $30 disc. Just like Sony's root kit fiasco for CD's, this is their way of not letting you use the media the way you would like.

I still think that Microsoft did the right thing in using DVD instead of HD-DVD or Blu-ray. If Blu-ray wins, they can still release an add-on player for the Xbox. If HD-DVD wins (although that seems unlikely now) Sony is in big trouble with the PS3.

You're funny, a PS3 fan calling the 360 "overhyped" because of its "poor library of games" and then calling someone else "biased".

I know you'll say that Gamespot is biased too, but check out their top 10 highest rated games for each system. Notice that RFOM is the highest rated PS3 game with an 8.6, while the lowest rated game in the 360's top 10 is Dead Rising with an 8.4. I know that some of these games will come out for the PS3 eventually, but you said the 360 has a "poor library of games NOW". Who was over-hyped again? View
