You're forgetting that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G sold well over 1.5 million copies in that same timeframe for a game that was a simple expansion of a game that came out just one year prior. For a PSP game, that's a gigantic amount of copies compared to a full new game developed on the Wii. View

That's a hermaphrodite. In your whole paragraph of text you failed to even identify the right sexual fantasy the game is pandering to. View

Just FYI: The guy who played Desmond in AC/ACII is actually the same guy who plays Nathan Drake in Uncharted and The Prince in the cell-shaded Prince of Persia game of 2008.

What is actually of more importance isn't sell-through or attach rates: It's return on investment. If sell-through wasn't even set high enough for good ROI (as in, they'll print more if there's demand), 80% sales of the initial batch might not have been enough for the game in the first place.

When you have actual Hollywood actors and need to license tons of metal music, I don't see how the ROI for 600K sales could beat 600K sales for the development of a game with equivalent development costs sans licensing. View

They actually had Jack Black going on late night shows and entertainment news shows to promote the game. Problem is, the demographic of people who WOULD buy this game don't watch either. View

In all fairness, you guys should read Bear McCreary's blog (the person who does the game's soundtrack).

Dark Void has NOT been in development for 20 years, they're just trying to rope in old-school Capcom fans by creating this fake backstory to the game. All for the better, since it seems to have convinced more than one person that this whole thing is true...

Dark Void Zero is the product of 2009's April Fool's Day joke on Capcom Unity, where Bear McCreary wanted to redo the title screen's music in 8-bit. That spawned an 8-bit game for DSi (Dark Void Zero).

Edit: Bear says it in one of the comments mid-way on this page.

Absolutely great news. Both Oddworld games are definitely going to be mainstays on my PS3 and PSP. View

It's not exactly shown with the same artwork as the game up to date. It's basically the main character standing in front of a blue moon and a red Bayonetta logo.

Hope you find it! View

The only game we ever got on consoles was Monster Hunter on PS2. There's no real trend to base anything else off of.

As for my opinion, I'd rather not have to pay monthly for a game I can play freely on a portable system (and that I play more than when I'm on a console). View

While true, those games still require that they be localized before a release. I'd rather have Final Fantasy III localized, since I far prefer the NES version to the DS version (call me a nostalgia lover, but I really do like it better). View

Considering how the second one was never released for NES and the version on the JPN VC is NES, we likely won't get it.

We're definitely only getting FF1, FF4 and FF6 on VC unless Nintendo finally allows GBA VC games. View

Grace Chen already mentioned that dynamic themes require a PS3 dev kit to develop. The community isn't getting such a tool... ever.

I just made a note that Sankaku Complex is strictly no-go at work. However, a NSFW tag would be worth its weight in gold for other, newer sites. View

I'd definitely love a new ZX if they tone down the amount of crap transformations you can do and pump up the complexity of current ones instead. View

I suck at it, but I love it. I thought it was a superior version of the also-old-as-the-world Macross games. View

The only problem about that is the game is already on PSN.

The trademark's classification talks of online integration of the game, much like the one for Tierkreis talked of networking in-game (and we got a half-assed "multiverse" in that game with almost no real benefit to the game).

By the by, this trademark's been known since late June. Suikosource has a posting dating from back then and the trademark has only recently had some activity. View
