Everyone in the comment section are actually Wrong
Gamereactor is like IGN and IGN UK, or Eurogamer and Eurogamer Portugal etc. They have different sections which are independent of each other.

This review is by Gamereactor Norway, which gave U2 a 9/10, as did Gamereactor Finland. The 8/10 reviews was given by the danish and swedish divisions. I`ve always said Norways nabour countries are stupid and here`s the prof ;) View

Going by your nich i can understand that, but the box is just one of the many things that makes MGS so great, so yeah you`re right ;) View

Out of childhood nostalgia i would rank MGS1 slightly above MGS3. Agreed with everything else you said though ;) View

Too many moments to chose from really
But that just shows the quality of the MGS saga.

I agree with the author about people perhaps not understanding just how great MGS1 was. What`s sad is that they probably won`t understand now either. Watching clips or even playing it won`t be as good as it was out, because the gameplay will feel too old in a way.

But i promise for those of you who has just played MGS4 and think it`s the best game ever, it`s not. Both MGS1 and MGS3 is better in my opinion. Not saying MGS4 sucks or anything, but there`s better games in the franchise.

I was a bit surprised not to see more moments from MGS3 in the top 10 though. The battle against The End was really great. The climbing of the long, long stairs while the title song begins to play (this must sound really stupid for those of you who hasn`t play it). The ending, which is a lot better than MGS4`s one and can actually make you cry (the tears i would shead in MGS4`s one is of horror of the wedding scene).

The Microwave Scene from MGS4 was really good though. And the return to Shadow Moses was perfect with the endsong from MGS1 in the background. I just wish the game had more original moments of it`s own instead of borrowing too much from previous games in the series. A bit strange to say, when i said i loved Shadow Moses, but my point is ; where`s the Psycho Mantis moment in the game ? There just isn`t any. View

GameOn and cgoodno
GameOn - Think of it as a grade system like in school. A-F.Even though i`m norwegian i must say i prefer a 1-10 system though ;)

cgoodno - Didn`t know Norway was the D&D-land, but in a place called Trondheim the mustaches are as great as dwarfs beards ;) View

Considering Newell is the size of 2-3 men, are you sure they dosn`t have enough man power ? ;) View

Yeah, hope R3 is on it`s way, even if R2 didn`t sell all that great. Even though i don`t care for Newell much (hey, maybe we should just name him Newman from Seinfeld instead, the similarities are many), i would like to see Valve games on PS3. Even though they isn`t the most tech capable company around, they do make good games. View

Patchstation 3
I`m sure a lot of 360 fans would (and should) be glad if Insomniac would make games for 360, even if they won`t admit it. Just as i`m sure a lot of PS3 fans would be if Valve did they same. Both studios are great if you ask me, even though Valve talks way more negative, while Insomniac has never said anything bad about 360.

EDIT : well said mrv321, have a bubble :) View

Hope they announce it for consoles
Ever since Dark Alliance and it`s sequel on PS2, i`ve been dying to get a similar type of game on PS3. Sure Untold Legends is out, but i`m talking about a good or in Diablo 3`s case, great game.

While i doubt Blizzard would do it themselves, i hope they give another developer, because i really want a great co-op game and this could be it. View

Just me ?
Or (if you have a PS3 that is), why not get both ? While i think GOW3 will be better than DI, i think DI will still be a great game. It`s made by the team behind Dead Space and it`s got an interesting subject matter. That it has copied some of Kratos`s moves just shows that GOW is still be best game in it`s genre, but that doesn`t mean DI will suck. If DI turns out good, i won`t hesitate to pick it up alongside of GOW3. Hell, i think i might just buy Bayonetta too (if i can afford it) ;) View

So...
It`s basically the same as the PS3 version of the full game, which was still to be confirmed at some point ;)

Could be that the PS3 version is a bit behind on the development and they don`t want to get a "worse" demo than the 360 one out. I don`t know if 360 is lead platform (even though i think so), but correct me if i`m wrong here. View

Of course there`s a new (a bit strange to say but) Elder Scrolls coming
No current plans as Todd actually said, even though the headline says otherwise, usually means "there`s a new one under way, but we can`t talk about it yet". I won`t blame the contributor though as Kotaku has the same one.

If they make a better leveling system, with a better story and a bit more variation in environments, i would welcome it like a damsel in distress ;) View

Agreed. MGS4`s story and gameplay in general wasn`t as good as MGS1 and MGS3, if you ask me (it was better than MGS2 though).

I suspect a lot of those how claim MGS4 is best game they`ve ever played, havn`t even played MGS3, let alone MGS1. I`m not saying it`s impossible to think MGS4 is the best of the bunch if you have played them all though. I`m not saying MGS4 is a bad game either, it just didn`t meet the standards of MGS1 and MGS3 for me. View

I havn`t played Manhunt, so i wasn`t aware of that, but that sounded like an awesome addition to the game, hope more games start using it.

I also wish more people would use voice overs like Uncharted, where Drake comments on stuff going on in the game. It helps to draw me into the game (and with Drakes comments make me laugh) and gives a nice sort of meta interaction between the player and the game. View

It depends a bit on the genre, but giving characters a voice can also greatly enhance the gameplay. Think Snake from MGS for instance. Many play the game because they want to be Snake in a way. And i think that`s to some degree because of his really cool voice.

This dosn`t just have to be in cut-scenes either. Drake from Uncharted`s constant comments while people are throwing grenades at him just draws me more into the game, making it better.

I know this two examples are from 3d person games, but i don`t see any reason why one couldn`t have the same type in a fps. If done right, i`m sure it could`ve made the games better. View

What happened to 2009 ?
The same thing that happens every year. Some high profile games get delayed and the drama is on. Seriously some of these games like Heavy Rain didn`t even have a release date (at least not an officially known one).

If all those games came out this year, how could i afford them ? If one looks at all the list above me, it`s clear that it`s a lot of great games that has come or will be out this year and for my own part i know i won`t get to play all of them, even if i`ll pick up some of them next year. Hell, i got Dead Space this summer while trying to find Infamous. I had almost forgotten about it, but decided to get it because i had heard good things and it has priced down.

It`s a good thing games get pushed back, so they can get more more polish and maybe i can get a chance to play them, because i`m done with other games. And guess what, a lot on the games on this list and beyond, is going to get pushed back even more. Just look at how crowded 2010 is. View

Hmm
Tomb Raider meets The Ring and the monsters from Dead Space joins in ;) (The one in the second photo with the horse seem like one)

Havn`t played a TR much before, but maybe this new take on it could be the step the franchise needs to get back on track. It certainly needs it if it`s going to compete with the train scene from Uncharted 2 ;) View

Haha hilarious
The only thing they`ve based this on is : "Well, at the beginning of the year EA (MOH Publishers) admitted that they were working on "the best FPS ever". Wow that`s strange a developer claiming their title is great.

And then follows up with : "If the "best FPS ever" is Anaconda, then it has the potential to be huge". The logic of writers is striking sometimes.

MOH Frontline on PS2 was the last great game in the series for me, and i think i`ll need a bit more prof before i`ll get excited for a new MOH. Still, Airborne wasn`t as bad as the games after Frontline. View

Yeah, you could be right, but it would be a bit strange to have such a short timeframe until the game is out. Usually one knows months before such a big game like GT5 would be out, like GOW3 getting the march 2010 date at E3 this year. I guess strange things have happened, but would surprise me greatly if it was out in 2009. No time frame usually means next year.

Still, if GT5 is announced for 2009 at TGS, it would be a great surprise for PS3 owners, so hope you`re right :) View
