No, they compared Forza with GT5 Prologue and in the end concluded that the two games had different advantages.

Of course, you don't have to trust them, but they tend to have the most reliable screenshots of any of the sites that do these comparisons. I like Lens of Truth too, as their video analysis is good.

I only really trust comparisons from these two sites, as well as Eurogamer, obviously, as they have by far and away the best written analysis. View

By actually looking at the screenshots, rather than going on someone else's word, you can clearly see that there's hardly any difference, if any at all, in texture quality and that lighting really comes down to how the in-game settings (not console) settings are set up. The Lens of Truth shots seemed to have the PS3 version on a higher brightness setting, creating a washed out look, where Gameswire showed the two versions in similar brightness and the result are PS3 screens that match the 360 ones better.

The shadowing issue is odd, as I don't know why lens of truth think 360 shadowing is better - there's a couple of Gameswire shots that show that the 360 version's shadows, when close up, are blockier and ugly than those found on PS3. View

Well, depends what you're after really. Video is definitive for frame-rate analysis, but for pixel-to-pixel comparison, HD video just doesn't cut it, as it's too compressed. This is why you need pure digital shots too. View

Lens of Truth and Gameswire are both valid in different ways. Lens of Truth is good for its movies with frame rate analysis, while Gameswire have as good quality screenshots as you'll see anywhere and use pure-digital means of capturing footage, which means they don't use crappy analgue conversion tech to get grabs from ps3. So it's a fair way of comparing pixel-by-pixel in a way that you can't really do when looking at compressed video footage. View

Agreed. We've seen moral choices in games before, and each time it's been done much better and more 'artistic' way than here.

This section was very weak and completely pointless. View

Amusing. Sick and wrong, but still amusing. View

Both the PS3 and the 360 have some strong bundles this year, it's going to be interesting, that's for sure. View

Yeah, I know MS wants people to buy their overpriced hard drives, but it's a bit mean to stop people from using theirs. View

Yeah... I really must get around to upgrading my 60gb drive. View

Going to be getting this with that 250GB PS3 slim package to be released on Monday, for now though, 400 shots will have to do... View

Anyone want to buy an old 60GB model by any chance? View

Those are some mighty images. Don't care if they're not real, I'm slapping them on my desktop background anyway. View

probably, but it's pointless as they get compressed anyway because no one wants to download 50 gigs. View

What's weird is the cutscene shots on PS3 look as if they're lower res than in-game. View

Have you even bothered to look at their comparison... they aren't trying to defend the PS3 version as you seem to assume. Go and see for yourself. Then come back here and apologise to everybody for being such a 'tard. View

Lol, they don't touch up the screens... how is that even possible?

lol...

Anyway, one thing truly shows how wrong you are: their comparison shows the 360 version looks better.

Back on topic: night and day - just look at the texture difference in this shot: http://www.gameswire.net/co... View

In this particular comparison, Forza is light years ahead.

Sure, you kind of expect it to be given the timeframes involved, but it really is interesting to see how far ahead Forza's Suzuka really is. View
