Keep in mind these are the guys behind Hitman, and the first Hitman game wasn't really that great either. However, that series has turned into something seriously awesome IMO. It really does suck about Gerstmann, but I do really like how Giant Bomb is coming along so it's not all bad (I guess?).

Yeah, I agree. I'm enjoying the game a lot, but I'm disappointed with the lack of items that, to me, were staples of the series (pool tables, hot tubs [wtftwftwftwf], pianos, etc). I really hope they don't try and sell them to me via microtransactions. :( View

Terrible theory:

People are trying to fit together Raiden and a young looking Big Boss, but why do they have to? Perhaps, half of the game will take place in the past as Big Boss and the other half will fill in the story of Raiden pre-4, and they'll converge to tie up some loose ends we didn't know about. MGS4 was split into several chapters, so why can't this?
