No newbies are able to download the Windows 7 beta now so it looks like things are in full flow in terms of beginning to collate feedback on the Microsoft end with Windows 7. Seems positive so far. I would hazard a guess it will be available end of this year when Vista will make a swift exit stage left! View

I'm just wondering how much this would add to your power bill. Nothing too substantial you would hope. Probably worth it in the end anyway. View

Australia has some sucky download speeds at the moment so when we have to update it can take forever. Not the PS3s fault really but frustrating no less. View

Well, I was going to say Doom. But you bring up a good point. It didn't port all that well. However, it is the ultimate FPS classic. Duke is mega awesomness personified in gaming form, no doubt, but Doom will always have on over it for me.

Worst Doom port ever... the SNES version. But that's another story. View

You can't argue with the Duke, but best downloadable game ever? That's a Pamela Anderson DD sized call. View

even with the nerd it is still a nice piccy. not totally ruined. wonder what that dude is thinking. Perhaps, "Look at my might sword!" (said in a Big Arnie kind of accent. View

Yeah, it's faster for sure. But your statement you made was that it generally crushes IE and Firefox without any mention of how or who said, aside from yourself. Just sounded a tad general.

In terms of pick up by consumers, IE and Firefox are still WAY ahead. That is the point of the article. How Chrome can overtake IE and Firefox in terms of the amount of users, not the speed. View

Where did you get that info from? I would love to see the stats... View

Oh for a 32-inch version! View

I would upgrade if...
I were a gamer with a fully specced up machine. Then it would be totally worth it because it would run Vista faster than Michael Schumacher used to drive around race tracks. But if I am anyone else, why bother? Just wait until Windows 7. It's only around a year away now. View

Woohoo! Oh, wait, Commodore was never all that good. I applaud them for having hung around for so long, but I don't know about their OS being better than Apple's. View

What the?
I'm sorry, but for me this just totally ruins the whole idea of producing a multi-touch device! Why not just use on screen buttons? The screen is big enough. It's bigger than a DS and perhaps a PSP. View

It is very much so. I just hope it isn't like wireless sound that, in most cases, loses some of its quality. View

It's a bit nuts eh! Can't wait to try it out. I thought 120Hz was brilliant. View

Good on Microsoft for trying but I'm not going to be giving up Firefox 3 anytime soon. IE 8 is OK but not as polished as Mozilla's effort. View

it's worth it if you have the money but it's not a deal breaker. if you are on a budget you can potentially cut back on the 100 or 120Hz feature but if you don't have a budget then you MUST get 100 or 120Hz. View

that's a sweet set indeed. I'm using the Bravia W series, a 40-inch model. It's only 720p but I think the 100Hz option is more important for gaming that full-HD at this stage. not enough games are full-HD. View

With Microsoft confirming they are working on cloud, and Apple releasing MobileMe, it's a safe assumption the future will be cloud based. How good would it be if Linux/Google came around as a challenger to Apple and Microsoft though. You can bet Google would make a great product. View

A move to Afghanistan may be a bit raw for the next series. Will be interesting to see if it happens. View
