" They didn't like the new controller. So Sony came back to the old good one. People whined again."
Yeah, real nice controller. They lose a lawsuit and refuse to pay a license fee for rumble so they hastily rework the DS2 with motion sensing tech from Nintendo and a guide button from 360, and then on top of it all, they make it wireless, BUT you have to plug the controller in to sync it and then when it goes wonky while you're playing, you have to plug it in again, or if your friends come over for some multiplayer they have to plug their controllers in to sync them. Sh1t. Sony should have just have made wired controllers instead. You spend more time with the wires connected than disconnected, anyway, so WTF did they bother going wireless for?? At least Microsft used good old fashioned Wi Fi instead of a custom version of Bluetooth that doesn't work.
"They had production issues and people said it's bad bad bad. They solve those issues and ship. But people only see that it doesn't fly off the shelves"
Yes, production issues are bad because the people who want them can't get them, unfortunately, with all the bad press, by the time Sony resolved their production issues, nobody wanted them anymore. With a 9 month launch delay and all the hype about the technology, they better damn well fly off the shelves, or they have failed. Nintendo went low tech this time and is killing it in sales. Nobody cares about the hardware inside the PS3, the Blu Ray player in particular. Even the ebay scumbags couldn't shift them and brought them all back. If there was a demand, why isn't it still sold out everywhere like the Wii?? Why aren't people camping out overnight to get them, like the Wii?? Why aren't people entering life threatening radio contests to get one, like the Wii?? It's because nobody wants them. Retail employees even say they aren't selling. What more proof do you fanboys need??
"HDD support for PS2 games. Fixed the jaggies issues."
OK, I can't argue these, but these are the only good news that's come out of Sony from the time that the PS3 was being conceived, and they are minor items at best. It's like rearranging the deck chairs while the Titanic is going down. There are bigger things to be worrying about.
" Talented developers say the PS3 is cool to develop for etc, and people say "bah, they lie, bah they're paid to say that"
For every developer who says they like developing on PS3, there are 4 or 5 more who hate it. Even those who do have something positive to say about it, also say something negative in the same breath. "PS3 sometimes horrific, sometimes beautiful". You don't hear comments like that from 360 developers. It is nearly universal praise about how much easier it is to create effects on the 360 than it is for the Ps3. Also praised is the level of technical support given to all developers, including third party developers. Now we find out that PS3 really did have a scaler chip all along, but Sony was keeping it a secret. Why? They didn't want third party developers making games that looked better than first party ones. If the 1080i problem hadn't become such a big issue, would we know about the PS3 scaler today?? Doubtful.
"They don't analyze facts. "
I just analyzed the facts, and the conclusion is clear. PS3 is going to be 'Dreamcasted' by Wii60.
