agreed... I have bought about 60 games for my 360.

PS3... 5 games..

Wii... 10 games.

I think it is obvious why the 360 is selling currently. The true test of the PS3 will be to se eif it survives long enough go get to the heart of its lineup of excluses before they either go Multiplatform or the PS3 gets so far behind that it will take awhile for it to catch up. I predict that if 360 plus Wii numbers get to 100 million combined before PS gets to 25 million that it is essentually nullifying PS3's market share by combining to effectively divide the market that PS2 used to dominate.

It is sad that Sony made the choices that they did with their hardware. I am not saying they are bad or good but it is obvious that the choices they made are not what the market wanted at this time by the sales numbers...

Japan went WILD for the Wii.. yes we know that Japan is always going to be a hostile market for the Xbox. It always will be.

USA... STRONG STRONG Xbox Market, But Wii has come to market with some great numbers. PS3 is selling but as the numbers show it is getting beat down. WHY? No games to sell consoles. Everything is coming in 2008 or whenever.

EU and Other.. Where PS3 is having at least a decent showing the 360 and Wii are still dividing the market.

The fanbois around here can talk all they want about Xbox 1.5 or 2 Gamecubes taped together but you know what. CURRENTLY as the market is the PS3 overestimated the market. Am I saying it sucks? NO, it was a risky gamble by Sony to begin with but when the XBOX NEXT does hit, the PS3 will not be the niced and most advanced console on the market and then what? Microsoft will take another loss on the 360 because the way it sits right now Sony cannot afford to release a new console they are LOCKED into the PS3, whereas, MS is already into the Xbox Next development. PS3 will have a longer lifecycle because of the fact that a year into the console their games are still a year away.

I hope Sony can gain more marketshare... Nintendo versus Microsoft in the next console generation does not sound good for gamers on the whole. View

I still have my dreamcast and use it alot for emmulation of older systems and to play Shenmue 1 and 2, as well as a few other games that the DC did have that were excellent and are remembered as excellent games.

the DC suffered from Segas problems. And anyone who doesn't recognize the fact that even the PS3 models some of its systems and the things that it has after the DC are worthless fan-bois. Do a little research and figure out the fact that the DC SHOULD go down in history as a console ahead of it's time that suffered from the fact that Sony was smart in marketing the PS2 and the fact Sega did not have enough left after the problems with the Saturn (a whole other story in itself) to really lodge a proper battle with the PS2. Take a look at a number of titles and you will see the DC was no slouch.

Online gaming... oh yeah... DC.
Internet Browsing... Oh yeeah.. DC.

Sorry MS and Sony you both are latecomers to Segas firsts.

Even thought the VMU minigames were a gimmick, they were still pretty cool to mess with for a quick fix that you could carry in your pocket. I used them often when i needed something to do on long watches. View

Dunno how they can say too much about the C64... but they confused big-time because the cartridge was in my system also but allowed you to hook-up the FDD, HDD, and the Tape Drive to it also.

I hate to say it but while you are enjoying those fine fine games. Halo 3 or Mario or Smash Brothers will be selling HUGE numbers because as stated before Halo is THE XBOX GAME. MARIO is THE NINTENDO GAME. and Super Smash Brothers is a HUGE HUGE game for Nintendo. Now if MGS4 or FF was on the list i might say they have a chance to sell big (but there is another arguement to be stated there about the fact that the PS3 worldwide sales numbers are still a bit aenemic to be setting out a blockbuster to sell $400-$500 consoles.)

PS3 is doing a smart thing and staying out of this one and waiting till next year to unleash its big titles. Halo and Mario and Smash Brothers plus some other highly touted upstarts does not bode well for the smaller number of consoles installed in homes for the PS3.

But when they come the mentioned TRUE AAAA titles for the PS3 will sell along the numbers you will be seeing this holiday for Halo, Mario and, SSBB. View

MICRSOFT is a SOFTWARE COMPANY!!!!!!

They got into the hardware business and the other businesses to diversify... But the core area of Microsoft is SOFTWAREEE... Windows, Office, Visual Basic, etc. etc. etc.

What does any of this have to do with making movies and the SAG and etc. etc. They are a part of the HD-DVD because it is a STORAGE MEDIA that they can use and maybe they have some partners in that area they can help out. This is how business is done on that level. It doesn't HURT MS to say ... yeah we're backing HD-DVD. They can easily switch to BLURAY... BLURAY MOVIE PLAYER ADDON anyone? Microsoft doesn't really lose to much to back HD-DVD they are probibly a technology partner which means they give a little research and programming muscle.

The problem right now is that SONY is relying on the PS3... Heavily. Just look at there finanacials over the last 2 years. Will SOny die out... No... they are WAY WAY diversified. They might have to scale back to their core businesses but i amnot sure we will see it dieee as such.

The problem is MICROSOFT is that yes they are getting outmanuevered by smaller new versitile companies (Goggle and Yahoo!) but what is Google really selling? what is Yahoo really selling? to get to Yahoo or Goggle 80% of the world uses what??/ ahhh Microsoft software ;) see now you begin to see. Also... MS could shut down the whole Xbox division right now and other than a minor case of corporate indigestion they wouldn't feel it. it is small potatos to lose 1-2 billion a year to a company like Microsoft.

It is an interesting read I have never heard of the Mayan Prophesy but there is also a law out there that says 85% of what you read is fabrication or misinterpretation.

That being said Two Worlds is not the greatest game out there but as someone who has invested about 10 hours in it. Its bumps and bruises are minor and annoying but they do not render the game unplayable. Sony didn't have to release a 20 GB SKU... THEY did it. They could have ignored the lower pricepoint and stuck with the we want one console and one console only... if you want a bigger HDD the system is built be be able to put a bigger HDD into. See sell it with a 40 GB HDD and if you want a 60,100, 1160, 250, 500 gb HDD go out and buy it and install it.. It is a no brainer i think.

yeah i guess leading the sales charts on the PC and 360 in the US and in Europe means it is a huge failure... Especially for a new IP.
I guess topping over Madden for the top spot in the 3 weeks that are traditionally dominated on all gaming formats by the Madden release is a horrible showing.

I guess the PC version not only having the regular but also the limited edition in the top 5 means it tanked hard....

Larry that is the dumbest thing I have read on this site in quite some time... All places i went to yesterday to find a copy reported VERY GOOD sales of Bioshock... alot of then from walkins who had not even preordered. Meaning I went to about 3 Gamestops before i got a copy.

You don't have to hate it if you can't play it on your console stop being a child and grow up.

They have stated that Bioshock is a single-player game time and time again through the development cycle. Why would they reinvest development time to come up with multiplayer structure, coding, maps..etc. etc. for the PS3 only.
