When I saw the news this morning (around 7 am here) I installed it and wanted to try out the new features in MGS4. Then it hit me like a brick: We need a patch first.
Now, I really appreciate that we finally have come one big leap closer to full fledged in-game XMB, but Sony should have enforced compatibility with the new features two months or so ago, so that the patches would already be available.
From the features I can actually use, I think the clock in the upper right corner was the most needed and useful. I always wondered why they didn't have one in FW 1.00. View

I don't think it's 100% just now. Sony said they improve it over time, so maybe that was just the next one on their list or a nice side effect from fixing another game.
