It's on your download list on Xbox Live, so you can always re-download it to whatever replacement console you get. View

I'm all for added benefit for people who buy the games new. Giving away free content is a plus. View

I think a lot of gamers, especially those that frequent gaming news sites, forget how naive and not-so-smart the general gaming population really is, especially in terms of figuring out how to back up your saves. Having a simple system built into the console would make things easy and I bet a lot of people would pay for it. View

I wouldn't be against paying a small monthly/yearly fee for this service. View

It's about 50/50 with RRoD and Disc Read Errors. It sits on it's own open air shelf, just like the PS3. All of my consoles are completely babied. The Xbox 360 just had some major hardware problems. My current one, an Elite, has been rock solid. View

I touched on that backup option in the article, but most people don't need or want to backup the entire system. Personally, I have over 50 game save files on my PS3. Having to back the changed ones up every week or so is very tedious. Sony could easily offer a backup option that only does game saves. View

The problem with memory sticks, especially for the Xbox 360, is that many game saves cannot be transferred from one save location to another. Developers lock the saves down to whatever hardware ID they were originated from. With the PS3, this isn't as much of a problem.

For the PS3's current backup system, it would be nice if Sony would add a backup option only for game save data instead of everything on the hard drive. View

Game of the Year is going to be a very tough call this year View

Was listening to Pete Hines from Bethesda on Major Nelson's podcast today. One of the major difference between Oblivion and Fallout is you don't have all towns on your map as soon as you leave the Vault like when you leave the Sewers in Oblivion. Since you've lived your entire life in the Vault, you don't know what's out there and you have to walk everywhere to discover things. Having it like this is fairly daunting, but there's a ton of exploration to do. I can easily see how people feel overwhelmed at the game. View

True, protocol. Sony didn't announce a release window for LBP only to push it back multiple times, like they did with Home. View

Actually, it's not available yet for Qore annual subscribers. It will be released this Thursday when the next episode of Qore is made available View

I wonder how the Xbots feel about the delays of Home? View
30 days 17 hours ago
I totally agree. The hype has completely died down because of the multiple delays. Even the early beta wasnt all the great. The new game rooms they've added are pretty cool, though. View

It's not crying, it's stating a fact that the 40gb console doesn't have enough room to do any serious gaming on the system View

Like the article says, it takes 3 seconds to delete a 5gb install, but another 25 minutes to reinstall it when you want to play again. Not a valid option to solve a problem View

Socom patch is 550mb. With a 40gb hard drive, it's not hard to completely fill it up, especially with most games needing 5gb installs. View

Yeah the games like those with All Play controls do a good job of getting non-gamers into the Wii experience, but the more advanced controls found in some games can be too much for a few. View

I think anything in Wii Sports can be lumped into the easy category for controls. Even with boxing, you're only punching with the Nunchuck. View

Definitely true. The long lasting popularity of an online game is proportional to how much extra effort the developers put into the game. The problem is, most of the time there is no additional income for that extra effort. View
