"...all of their experience and equipment up to that point will be lost."
you don't lose any items, and your souls can be reclaimed by returning to your "bloodstain".

"Oh, and the more your character dies, the more powerful the enemies get."
dying in soul form does not affect world tendency (difficulty, among other things.) only dying when you have your body affects this. View

anyone else notice that the info listed ofr demons souls was completely wrong?

why do none of these sites do research before posting articles, it's getting ridiculous.

this could be really awesome, especially since youtube works well on the PS3 now.

if there's good content, i'll probably use this alot. View

600+ cars to start, more sold as DLC.

rather than just disc and download versions it seems to imply if you buy the more expensive version, you'll get all the dlc for free as it comes out. View

and still not a single mention of gamebryo?
oblivion, fallout... really?

to get such huge worlds to look that good, it's impressive tech. View

according to vg chartz GTA IV sold just under 7 million copies...

neither episode even can sell enough to recoup the losses microsoft spent on it. it's just silly. i mean, ofcourse "some" people bought a 360 for GTA with the DLC. and, multiple console owner's likely bought the 360 version for achievements and the dlc (if they knew about it).

but how much could that really matter? $50mil worth? umm no.

the only good thing is that it makes microsoft look like the do more to support DLC than sony. which isn't really true, they just buy exclusive dlc which would otherwise be multi-format. View

could have easily swapped oblivion for TWEWY.
i guess that mobile platforms are "this generation".
just not what i expected.
also if ds/psp were in the mix, crisis core should have atleast been in with the honorable mentions. View

if it uses shutter glasses it should be supported by alot of tv's, but it needs to output twice the number of frames. so for 60fps games you would need a tv that can do 120fps.... View

based on the argument here.. i really don't think so. View

it doesn't seem like anybody got the point.

he's not at all implying that you should be able to endlessly create turrets and spawn points, just that there may be a better way of managing it.
because as it stands if a nub is running around placing turrets, he can place 4 by himself that may or may not be in useful spots. and they actually prevent a skilled player from being able to place his own.
it shouldn't be like that. maybe there could be limits on how many players could use each badge on the same time or something.

my personal suggestion would be:
you should be able to set your preferred character type (weapons, badges, etc.) as well as faction outside of the game.
then when you search for matches. one's that have a slot open for your badges on your faction would show up first on the list. (or have an option to only show those games.) View

i've never played halo 3, but from what i've seen there seems to be alot of jumping, shooting out of "man cannons" and vehicles. KZ multiplayer doesn't have any of that. and for me is alot more exciting. killzone is very true to it's name in creating very excellent choke points that literally become killzones. and that's where it shines.

so does it kill halo, TF2, or cod 4?
no it does not, is it an awesome shooter to held up there with those great games?

i think it's funny that the 360 version of silent hill is "better" graphics-wise. better resolution, and supposedly better lighting. but, when you look at the screen grabs, everything is overly bright and everything appears to be made out of shiny plastic. while this may work for many other games, in silent hill, it seems decidedly less scary. i think it's interesting what kinds of games girls gravitate to. people do tend to assume that singstar, and the sims are easy hits. But, in my experience this really isn't true. my girlfriend, and friends who are girls, play a wide variety of games. the main factor it seems is: controls they can wrap their head around. games like flower and littlebigplanet are easy sells, because the controls are really simple. but from there, it really depends on their experience and how their mind works. one thing i find interesting though is that all the girls i know that play games (at all) play tekken, usually pretty well. and it's because the control's make perfect since. a button for each limb combined with a direction is 95% of the time going to be what is expected. down and X is always going to be a low kick with the left leg, etc. (for most characters). it's when the controls are arbitrary that it loses them (this really applies to any non gamer, nothing to do with gender). MGS 3 being a prime example, the controls in that game are something you are taught (by the game ofcourse), rather than something easily figured out with logic. (you could argue that LBP's controls are arbitrary, and you wouldn't be wrong. but, the fact that you only need to use the 2 easiest to hit buttons on the controller, makes it moot. littlebigplanet's controls must be "taught", but they can be taught in approx. 6 seconds.) i bought this pack for $8. which is alot considering i didn't buy the game until it dropped to $20. and all i can say is, "what a dissapointment". the cars all look really nice and drive fine, but they really don't add anything to the game. the delorean should have been an amazing stunt vehicle. click it into hover mode hit a ramp and get some awesome airtime. except that's not what they did. in hover mode it just has really floaty stearing, and it's really easy to do a 180. when you hit a ramp it acts exactly like every other fcking car. you can't control it in the air, and it comes back down just as quick as it does in "road mode".

seriously why would you make this car and not make it work like a hover car.

burnout paradise for 20 bucks = awesome.
legendary cars for $8 = complete waste View
