Final Fantasy VIII Strategy: Get higher level spells AFTER Dollet
100 days 5 hours ago | by: TheDeadMetalhead
Alright, so I've told you how to get high level spells before you get to Dollet, but what about high-level spells after Dollet? There are 2 more great spells you can get before you head to Timber. But you can only do this after you finish Dollet.

Holy
Flare

To get 100 Holys and 100 Flares you must level up 2 out of 3 characters in your party to at least 30 (It will probably be Squall and Zell). Make sure Squall has Blind equipped to his Status Attack (he must have Siren equipped to his GFs, and if you missed the chance to Draw Siren from Elvoret at Dollet, then start your game over. There's no point in continuing). If Siren doesn't know Status Attack-J, then teach her now. After Squall has Blind to his Stat-Atk J, then use the Magic Lamp. You'll go into battle with Diablos. Before you do anything, hit him with Squall's Gunblade so he's Blinded. Now, he can't use his physical attack and all he can use is Demi and Gravija, neither of which can kill you. Now if you leveled up to 30, then Diablos should have Curaga, Demi, Holy, and Flare that you can draw from him. Note that whoever has Ifrit for their GF (for me it was Zell) probably won't be able to draw much of Holy or Flare (I once had him drawing for 2 hours straight and he only had 30 Holys and 0 Flares). So now you can Draw 100 Holys and 100 Flares from Diablos from 2 people (if you're willing to Draw for 2-3 days straight, then maybe 3). Holy and Flare are very good magics that can increase one stat drastically so they're very good to have.

Any questions about a game? Comment or PM me:)
