Sorry, theres no way the GTA4 as we know it would ever be able to be ported over to the Wii.

Unless you are talking about the most blocky characters, and loading screens every virtual mile, then maybe.
The Wii has some power, but your forgetting that both the PS3 and the 360 have hard drives to help lessen the load of data.

The 360 version had alot of trouble with loading data if not installed to the hard drive.
If your expecting to get the same game as the 360 and the PS3, you are sadly mistaken, that much is impossible, as you can look to Lucas Arts for that reason, they had to make a completely separate game to the Wii vs the 360 and PS3 versions.

Also, rockstar has opted to stay away from the Wii, so you may be waiting for ever if your crossing your fingers for something within this year, or even next.

Do you even remember the launch of No More Heroes in japan? It bombed horribly over there. Even though I love the game for what it is, I don't think it is one of the absolute bestsellers (in case I'm wrong, please correct me with actual numbers, I really hope it sells great).
In addition, as GutZ31 already said, the Wii just doesn't have the raw power. The amount and quality of the engines used in the PS3 and XBox360 builds of the game simply doesn't fit the Wii. How many CPUs do both have? I think the X360 has a tricore and the PS3 has CELL - those are miles ahead of the Wii in case of number crunching. The analogy to The Force Unleashed fits perfectly. In case you don't believe me, tell me your reason for the Wii not being HD-enabled.
So, if you want to play GTA4, go and buy either a XBox360 or a PS3 and play it on either one OR wait until they release a PC version.

What does gameplay have to do with content? Plus, I love the construction of a "I know for a fact - probably" sentence. Gameplay is something purely subjective. Most people say that Resident Evil 4 has great gameplay - it doesn't appeal to me, though. About content: Since you mentioned SSBB, did you forget how many Wiis had magical problems with the disc? Did you know that the disc was one of (if not THE) first Wii game to actually use a DL-DVD? GTA4 uses a DL-DVD (on XBox360, what I mean is the amount of data to hold). Content wise, it would most likely fit, realizing that R* would downgrade every graphic (the Wii can't do 1080p or even 720p, so downscaling everything to get along with 480p is just normal) and every object's polygon count as well. Yeah, I'd say it would fit. But the lack of power would simply not allow the same game on the Wii without seriously gimping down things like lighting and physics. Don't tell me something about Boom Blox - I don't think R* would sit down and reinvent the engines they used, it would just take too much time and cost too much money.

rockstar need to forget about realism,immersion that criples the gameplay.

I laugh at this...you need to realize that if they port this to the Wii they will have to remove the Physics, tone down the graphics A LOT, remove a lot of the background details (amount of people, variety of cars, animations of people, etc), and there would be loading screens every second. Also, SSBB has WAY less content than GTA IV, I laugh at you for saying that comment. GTA IV is one of the most advanced video games ever created and Brawl is basically a polished up version of Melee. GTA IV will never come to the Wii because it is to weak. It is just a bit more powerful than a gamecube and less powerful than an original xbox. That is proven, now it is time for you to accept the face that it is the weakest next gen console and most games aren't possible on it. The sooner you realize that is the sooner you stop making idiotic blogs like this one.

Similiar to the way they did Stories on PSP. I don't really want GTAIV, by the time I play it, I reckon I'll be severely dissapointed anyway. Hype sucks. Still looks pretty cool though, I hear you can shoot people in the foot =D

1.Smash bros doesnt have more content then GTA IV. If you were not such a wiiboy you would se the fail in that statement.

2.Wii is a kids console

3.Rockstar doesnt believe in developing their best games on consoles with inferior specs. Thats why none of their best games are going to the wii.

4.You want GTA IV? Get a ps3 or 360.

5.GTA IV is too big for the wii.
