So N4G...
has become the "4Chan" of the gaming news sites? That I would agree to ;)

All that we can do as gamers, be it casual or hard core, is to give structural feedback to what ever article we comment on and ignore the BS that goes on. Don't approve the trash articles, and take away the bubbles of those who act immature.

That's all we really can do. It's really up to the admins to change things around here. View

About DQ and CT...
I do agree that DQ has deep RPG elements, but it was just the feel of it seemed off. I'm not too sure how to put it, but it didn't feel like all the other DQ's that I have played before.

As for Chrono Trigger, that is one of the best RPGs that I've ever played. I do appreciate the art work solely because of Akira Toriyama (big fan!). True that he did work on DQ 8, but it wasn't the art that put me off. Going back to CT, the themes, characters, and game play were outstanding for SNES game. Actually, more JRPGs should follow or take example of what CT did.

I thought LO had a good story, but the main character seemed static to me. When you go through the dreams and what he did in the past, you makes you wonder how he got so cold and silent in the setting that you were in.

A great example of a RPG that had all the necessary elements is Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land (PS2). Great story, outstanding detail in character backgrounds, deep and calculating strategies in battles, and the music score was terrific. What a prime example of a classic RPG. If anyone should pick this up, please do so.

Anywho... I appreciate everyone's comments =D View

New IP?
You mean another half ass, worked on title? Like Oblivion? Sure it's was only one game out of the many, but still it did stain their reputation for me. Working on quality over quantity of gaming functions and immersions is not a good sign.

It's as if they totally forgot about Oblivion, for both the 360 and PS3 owners, and the DLC you could get for the PC version. It'd be great if they had that sort of content for all platforms, but I guess taking the easy route (being lazy is what it's called) is what they're used to, I suppose. View

The only way to take care of a pedo...
... is to kill him. There are no cures or preventions. No doctor in the world can say that they have fully cured a pedo. They are the scum of the earth and should be rid of for the sake of our children. View

To answer your question...
I don't have the money to have a sweet set-up like Mr. Sessler, but I am being honest with what I'm reviewing. So what is it that "turns you off"? If you're going to give a critique, then please give some constructual feedback so that I may improve myself for future reviews. I didn't think I was being too "critical" with this review and speaking for our hobby in way that my opnion is absolute.

Just take what I say with a grain of salt and decide on your own. By the way, thanks for watching =) View

Easy to answer...
... because it's up to the producer and his/her team to decide what issues should be corrected (glitches, GBIs, etc) before the end of the post alpha cycle (IIRC).

So the GBI for the game will PROBABLY get corrected through a patch some time later on. The QA can only do so much as to what can be done to change around the game play. Which in my experience is very little to none =P View

I wonder...
If ol' Jack the Whack will go so far deep that he'd attack indie game devs? Making up excuses that Braid corrupts children with demonic teachings of manipulating time and what not. Or how you can obtain the power of your enemies by killing them like you do in the Mega Man series. I mean, this guy could go there. And yet, I would still find it amusing =) View

Gaming journalism...
... is about trusting that editors' opinion about a game, but also having one of your own. I usually browse GameSpot, GamePro, IGN, and 1UP for different views on a single game. Then after watching the trailers and game play footage, that's when I make my own decision. People have to take a editors' opinion with a grain of salt or else they'll be mindless zombies who'll buy anything these editors say that is great.

Another issue is about being honest with the viewers. You have to be brutally honest because it'll be their money that will be spent, and it'll make you look bad if that game wasn't worth the money. I can honestly say that most of these big time gaming sites are paid to say what the companies want to hear. And that's why there are people like Penny Arcade, Yahtzee, Queens of the Pwn Age, and The Bitbag that share their opinion of which most, if not all, gaming companies don't want to hear. View

StarGate MMO?
There is one? Wow... Never knew that. I'll have to look it when I can. Is there a monthly fee or a one time pay for the game deal? View
