We cannot think to fool no PS3 owners by saying that 630p + No AA + Vaselline Effect is better than 720p + AA… And please, remember that even with a MANDATORY installation we have frame rate issues and even some pop-in… Well, not to mention the huge freezing problems… And the online ones…
The game is a great fun, but on my PS3 from a technical standpoint is full of little problems…
After all, I can easily admit that this game is disappointing to me… Not for the game in itself, but for what the game should represent…
I still wait for “the revenge” of PS3 but after more than a year, I more than sure that also this time Sony has lied… as usual… View

A) It is a developers fault!
B) Maybe you have imagined it!
C) You are an Xbox fanboy!!!

What happened, I cannot tell that I am disappointed as a customer of PS3 (as I am not a fan boy)???

Am I obliged to tell you that I am happy to have paid for a GT demo-prologue? Oh yes, I am very happy that the next Final Fantasy or GT or GOW will probably come out only in 2009… At least I hope!!! Oh, I am very happy that all the latest games required a mandatory installation on my 60gb… I am very happy that many games that I have purchased seem not to run properly at 100%... Oh yes N4G I happy that sometimes during a match or while watching movies my PS3 suddenly freeze… Oh I am glad to have paid much more to have gaming experience not equal to the principal competitors…

Unfortunately, the point here is very clear.
Sony as usual, has deceived us as the PS3 version presents:

-) lower resolution
-) no AA but “Vaselline effect”
-) Mandatory installation (but pop-in issues still remain)
-) Worse frame rate
-) Infamous Freezing Problems
…no dlc…

I feel angry:
1° ) because is it clear now (at least to me) that PS3 is not the monster Sony wants us to believe… Think about the recent Kojima statements…
2° ) because all the main gaming sites (not all!!! But now we finally know the ones that are to be trusted) do not tell us the truth!!! They have sold their professionalism to Sony!!! View

Vaselline effect is a filter applied over the images. Consequently, this filter gives smooth and blurs effect on the ENTIRE screen, loosing in this way many many details. Consider that PS3 seems to have also a lower resolution…
Now you know the warmer & softer graphic for our PS3… View

The reality seems to say:

Terminator, actually, I have a PS3.
But don’t you really fell frustrated?
I just keep on playing Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden… And watch bluray… but no much more with the exception of long term promises… and delays…
I was a die-hard fan (a true fanboy!) at PS2 times…
But now… I am enough grown up to be a blind fanboy… The evidences are all around…
After all, we just have to enjoy our great machine. With the awareness that also this time (at least for me) we do not have the super mighty console that Sony has promised us. Sony has cheated us again. And this is the only things that really makes me angry!!!

ps. MGS4 in-game shots show h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e background texture (in terms of resolution I mean) and many many rough details… Some seem really old gen!! Anyway it will be a great game, I am more than sure. But they just promise me a graphic masterpiece… You see another Sony promise. View
