Well, my comments history is the clear mirror of my disappointment.
I used this forum to shear a personal feeling and to check if someone else feels the same.
I never talked about Xbox. I do not care about it or WII.
As I said, my purchase choice has been a Sony PS3. And no, I do not want to sell it.

I cannot see your point. You think that I pretend to have a PS3. Ok. Can I ask you why?
Why should I pretend to be a PS3 owner?
Do you think that my complaints as PS3 owner can possibly hurt the mind of other happy owners?
Come on be serious!

Are you happy with all the lies that Sony told us (and that possibly influenced your purchase decisions)?
Do you still believe that CELL and BLURAY allow us to time travel?
Are you happy with 2007-2008 PS3 line up?
You believe that in-game MGS4 graphic (not cinematic) looks WOW?

But I have a total different feeling right now: I feel cheated by Sony as a customer.
And I just want to finish it here and now. So I need the opinion of other people that like me thinks that Sony has deceived us enough.
Happy customers like you are the one responsible to allow Sony to cheat customers again in the future.
Do you remember what happened at the time of PS2? In time you will learn that worse has happened with PS3. Let hope that this will not happened again for the PS4. View

2008, until now, is a HUGE disappoint for me as a PS3 customer… Worse that last year, let me say!
A part from a GT peek (wow they made me pay for a demo…I must be really desperate) and a worse version of GTA4… Sony has practically released nothing valuable.

My only hope is MGS4… but a part from all the “WOW” and “AWESOME” that I read around (again, it seems that we are very desperate..), I have seen very a old gen in-game graphic…

Especially if we take in consideration the triviality of these arguments.

The “WOW effect” is something I spotted in this forum.
I make an example for you.
Go and check the comments under some MGS4/MGonline news. You will see “Great!” “WOW” “Awesome”… But I have to be frank with you… The in-game graphic (with a little search you will find some, but they are very rare) looks good, average let me say.. However, far from “WOW” Lets admit I spotted some terrible low res texture… And not to mention MGonline beta…

Another recent example is KZ2… Everyone seems overexcited and over hyped…again, a lot “WOW” “MEGA” “HUGE” etc… So with great expectation I have watched for myself all the videos and the few new shots….
In MY OPINION, I said it again, IT IS MY OPINION, KZ2 looks incredibly like a green-grey COD4 with less detailed textures a lot of blur and much more closed environment. It looks very good, do not get me wrong. But, as I have already said, it will be released 1 year and half after the original COD4!!! And also consider that it will be released in 2009… In 1 year that graphic will be the flagship of our console?
Have you seen the latest video of FAR CRY 2 for example? Which one looks more WOW?

Anyway I perfectly agree with ancient Latin that used to say: “De Gustibus Non Disputandum Est”

And so if you are happy with your PS3, again good for you!
For my concern, I am very upset and not satisfied by the purchase of my PS3, due to the huge lies and promises that Sony has told and that made my expectation on this machine rise high.
Maybe without all this lies and promises I would have bought the PS3 the same.

Well, actually I am a PS3 owner.. Is it possible that each time I express my complaint regarding the PS3 I am labelled as an xbox fanboy… But which is the average age of this forum?

Anyway, with the exception of the early reviews all the ad-hoc and in-depth feature regarding GTA4 clearly affirm that our main competitor version is far better. I suggest you to give a look to the latest Eurogamer face-off…There, you will find not so comfortable news…

MGS4… look around the web for some (very RARE) true in-game shots… Then we will talk about it…
And not to mention MGSonline…

In any case, I am not interested at all in the confrontation with the xbox. I do not care about it, and after all, I have already spent my money on a PS3.

I just want to express my disappointment & dissatisfaction about my PS3… Just few excellent games (Uncharted, COD4 and Ninja Gaiden) are not so much for me…And for my money…

It is thanks to people like you (and me actually..) that SONY will base also the future PS4 Marketing Campaign on lies and never-ending promises…

I am a disappointed PS3 owner. And no, I am not a fanboy.

This article touch directly the core of my nowadays thought regarding the purchase of PS3.
As I have told in these pages several times in the last few days, I am very disappointed as PS3 customer.
I am one of the many victims of the lies and of the over-promising Sony usual marketing campaign.
Well, at last it seems that I am one of the few that has definitively open his eyes!!!
COME ON! In the last year, I have played just ONE valid exclusive title that is Uncharted.
And please fanboys do not reply to this with Resistence 1 or R&C or GT:Prologue (it is incredible how Sony made me paid for a big and beautiful demo…), I repeat I am not a fanboy.

I just want you to know that I have bought the expansive PS3 just for playing videogame, (as I was (and actually am) still comfortable with old DVD format).

Do you really want the list of the reasons of why I am disappointed by PS3? Really?

1) The promise of an over almighty console (thanks to CELL…)
2) Kojima recent statements (you really need more?)
3) The in-game graphic of MGS4 (you can tell me everything.. but anyway the graphic looks really really terrible…)
4) The farce “It is all developers fault”
5) The farce “Only 1% of CELL has been used…”
6) THE MANDATORY INSTALLATION OF ALL THE RECENT GAME
7) Worse version of the multiplatform title (And I have paid much more for this?)
8) Home delayed again
9) GTA4 (It was a bang for me… Lower resolution, mandatory installation, no AA, far worse frame rate… looks at the recent eurogamer face-off…)
10) The next REAL GT?
11) The next FF?
12) The next GOW?
13) The instability of the device: sudden freeze during watching BR or playing..
14) The next flagship: HAZE, have you played the demo?
15) The next flagship: KZ2… OMG but it is possible that a game in development for 4 years looks as a green-grey version of COD4 with less detailed texture and a lot of blur? It is possible considering that it will be released an year and half after COD4?
16) Resistence 2: 60 player in multiplayer… Are you lucky enough to play decently with GTA4 online?
17) 2008 PS3 YEAR… we just have: MGS4 (very concerned..), Resistence 2 (not impressed) and Little Big Planet (do you really are so hyped by this game?)… For the rest everything shifted to 2009 (let’s hope)…

The entire interview seems structure to aim to set that PS3 version is better…

Unfortunately, as a PS3 owner (and not a fanboy) I am perfectly agree with what he stated in the LAST PART of this article regarding all the LIES and the NEVER-ENDING promises that SONY has made us also this generation.
In particular the passage:

“Then three years ago at E3 they showed what PS3 games would supposedly look like with the Killzone 2 video, that we are now learning will ship four years later. That means that we will have shipped Gears of War and Gears of War 2 before they can even get Killzone out the door”.

To me, this is a clear deceit against customers! And this is only one out of many many others!!!

Well how it is possible that nowadays we have allowed a company to grow up upon LIES and never-ending promises? Well I have to admit that I am the first in line here, but hey now I am very tired and irate!

Shadow Flare, I actually have a PS3.
Do not get me wrong, KZ2 looks very very good, but very similar to COD4 with the difference that it will be released ONE YEAR AND HALF later than COD4…
I cannot forget that KZ2 was meant to represent the best my PS3 could do… and I am under the strong feeling that when KZ2 will be released that level of graphic will not be so groundbreaking!
Look at the last FarCry 2 video released… Now, this title seems really groundbreaking!!!

Here every PS3 owner seems to be under some “WOW effect” every time the big S release something.
Well, I cannot say WOW when I have paid for GT Proluge: a wonderful demo!
I cannot say WOW when I learn that Home has been delayed again!
I cannot say WOW when I see the “in-game graphic” of MGS4 (I am very afraid we will talk about this in the next future)
I cannot say WOW when I play with MGSonline
I cannot say WOW when I still do not know when (and if) the next GT, Final Fantasy and GOW will be released
I cannot say WOW when GTA4 is not properly playable online (well at least I was one of the lucky that do not have the definitive freezing problem..)
I cannot say WOW when my console suddenly freeze during watching BR or during a match
I cannot say WOW when multiplatform title look and play better on other consoles
I cannot say WOW when I am OBLIGED to install all the new game released
I cannot say WOW of all the lies Sony has told me (almighty Cell, all the developers’ faults, all the CGI movies, the huge number of delays…)

And certainly I cannot say WOW when I see the graphic of exclusive titles such us Haze, R2, Motorstorm2 or KZ2 that should be the flagships of an almighty console! View

At this point seems that R2 & KZ2 look very similar, with the exception that R2 is much more multiplayer oriented and KZ2 more single story oriented….

Let me say that I am quite disappointed by the overall quality (look) of these two titles… considering that they will be released respectively 1 year and 1 year and half later COD4…!!!

In the last weeks I have start to ask myself where Sony want to go with my PS3... I hoped to have some clues with the Gamer Day but it has only strength my doubts…

This is a HUGE disappoint… An additional one… one of a very long list… Second only to the in-game graphic of MGS4…

How someone with a least a little capability of judgment could consider this “green-gray COD in close and small environments” the masterpiece that SONY has promised us long time ago???
