b) N4G is a site that polls popularity for articles and therefore if it's relevant to what people want to read, it becomes more popular.

Chances are the Mirror and Telegraph got it wrong - which is why this article speaks to a company that fixes consoles to check if they had seen a rise in this problem.
But surely that's the *right* response to a mud-slinging tabloid article?
