hmm you imply that PS3 owners are sour grapes... I don't think so
maybe it's your fanish impression that gives you that idea... I think that what most PS3 players feel is something like the following.

1) Haze was not first party (a correction to your post) and it is a fair comparison in that it meets the following condition

-> games multiple times delayed that don't live up to the hype.

2) the Too Human concept is interesting, maybe with a few more years of polish and a developer that could remain on target it would have been better. unfortunately the developer are complete asses and basically sabotaged their own game.
2b) they should have canned the project 7 years ago - and started fresh with a new concept rather then 10 years of false starts and failed promises. Game would be better for it.

3) All the three systems have great games.

4) as for too human haveing a better score then MGS4 ... questionable score but possibly related to the reviews feeling on narrative stylings. MGS is definitely the more polished of the two but some people have issues with Kojima's narratives. EVERY reviewer is entitled to their Opinion as I am in ignoring such. View

Preaching to the Choir
Of course I do understand their desire to do it themselves (approximately 30% more incoming revenue) but the aggravation and flubs must be causing them some loss of prestige which in the long run could cost them more. View

didn't notice that the first time through the article but
twin stick shooters are a new genre???
robotron (1982) and other have been doing twin stick shooters since the late 70s early 80s.....

heck even battlezone (80) could be considered a twin stick shooter.... View

My feelings are that the answer is
Probably No.

Hmmm well I would leave in

SCEI
Blizzard
EA
Nintendo
Rockstar

I would probably drop one of the remaining to add TOSE to the list
never heard of them? Well they probably have built at least 2 of the games you played this year on any platform.

They have 6 studios, 1200 developers (majority programmers) and have developed over 1400 games as of this year (2008), Have worked with every publisher in NA. EU and Asia. They develop for PC, X360,Wii,PS3, PS2, DS, PSP, Wonderswan, and have developed 3d0, neogeo, am2 games. They have existed for 26 years and have made such classics as Space Invaders for Taito. They rarely if ever acknowledge that they did create a game for a publisher and are known for not asking for IP rights.
By 2006 they had developed 19 PSP games and 17 DS games (and have completed that many again this last year)

as is yours
Basically I have never said that one factor is the only trigger
you make assumptions that are not there about my viewpoint.

Video games can induce as can any activity - you need the right mix of factors - you assume I mean only light induced (find a place where I said that)
Epilepsy can be triggered by any number of factors - including genetics, audio stimulation, touch, mental stimulation, visual stimulation and many other things including drugs and dopamine levels....

video games can bring a convergence of many of these factors together
audio, video, touch, mental etc... and that may trigger if it breachs the threshold for any one person.

--- at below ---

a hazzard is a hazzard is a hazzard
It's better to lower a risk if you can (and you have a legal responsible to reduce risk if you are selling a product)

- and again you assume that it is photosentivity that causes it... View

I have never argued that light triggers alone are the cause - read again. But any activity with the wrong subset of factors can cause induced epilepsy.

as above

video games do not just hit photosensitives
it hits audio sensitives and with things like rumble packs can hit touch sensitive triggers as well

add them all together and you see the potential risk is much higher then just the photosensitive subset. View

Big difference between ooops - we put in weapons grade Epilepsy causing scenes with audio, touch and light triggers. induced epilepsy does not necessarily relate to lights (just a possible cause)
see mahjong induced epilepsy - using higher brain functions for pattern recognition can trigger it if used for to long and to intensely.
also see:

Drawing induced epilepsy
graphogenic epilepsy
language induced epilepsy
camphor/apple/ induced epilepsy
startle induced epilepsy
posttramuatic epilepsy

Inducing epilepsy is not necessarily related purely to sight but also to sounds, smells, tastes, mental activity, touch etc...
If you have the right combination you can induce it easier
It can have a genetic trigger but it is not a requirement (> 10%)

most if not all activities in day to day life (yes including raves) can not hit the required threshold on all factors for a sustained period but video games can (as can movies)
and that is why testing for hazzards such as epilepsy induction is important. View

Not Impressed At All
Put me in the subset of those who think that a true Fallout Successor should be turn based and more heavily RPG then Combat.
I tried to give it props - it looks fantastic but it's not Fallout 3 its just a shooter set in the fallout universe. View

Hmmm I commented on this during the E3 show - basically what the SE president said was that it releases simultaneously on the Xplatform in both EU and NA. (contextual) so clarification is that the PS3 and the Xbox platforms don't launch simultaneous in EU and NA.
It's more of a translation bug then anything. View

Uhm
You do know that under the right circumstances _ANYONE_ can be induced into an epileptic fit right? View
41 days 16 hours ago
it's funny but unfortunately there is no way to induce epilepsy without permanently creating a susceptibility to epilepsy View
41 days 16 hours ago
because it is possible to induce in ANYONE under the right circumstances and movies also have to pass hazzard testing for epilepsy View
41 days 16 hours ago
Again
Epilepsy can be triggered in anyone under the right circumstances (ask the psy-op warfare guys at http://www.carlisle.army.mi... )

If the game is engineered wrong you don't get the .01% that would normally be susceptible but possibly create a situation as high as 10% of all players developing epilepsy. (people spontaneously develop epilepsy under the right circumstances - This could be you and you'd be pissed because you no longer could play most video games)
