Then 3031 people would be wrong. Demon's Souls, Batman, Borderlands, Assassin's Creed 2, Killzone 2 and InFamous were all better than Uncharted 2. View

Completely agree about 9 being the best. Story was cool, characters were awesome, and combat system was good, with a good addition of game mechanics that weren't around in other final fantasy games. Settings were the best out of any other that I can think of, and the music was great as well. It also had an "old school" final fantasy feel to it that the newer ones were lacking. View

You should really add "in my opinion" after that, otherwise you sound like you are trying to pass your opinion off as a fact, which is not the least bit true. There hasn't been a good Final Fantasy game in the last 10 years and from the in depth previews I've read, the game is very linear and lacking tons of things that all RPGs should have. Plus, it's a gay JRPG with annoying, stupid, gay looking characters. I have zero interest in this game and wouldn't pay a cent for it, so clearly it's not "undoubtedly" the must-own RPG of next year. Other than the stupid kiddy DS games you mentioned, all of those other RPGs are looking better than Final Fantasy 13. Mass Effect 2, for me, is much more of a must-own game than Final Fantasy 13 will ever be. View

I don't see how this game looks boring at all. It combines elements from tons of different games such as Devil May Cry, God of War, Zelda, Shadow of the Colossus, Gears of War, Panzer Dragoon, etc, and does them all well. Sounds like the least boring game of all time to be honest, since all of those games have only one type of gameplay, and this game combines tons of different types into one long adventure game. Lots of reviews and previews have said that it adds tons of new things every hour and constantly keeps things fresh and has excellent pacing, more than I can say for a lot of games these days. View

Yup, not getting this. I figured it would be another linear JRPG with androgynous characters and it looks like I'm right. No interest in this. Square has shot themselves in the foot once again. No good games this entire generation, and arguably none last generation. FFX was okay but nothing spectacular. View

I'm impressed with the GameSpot awards this year, they took the high road and didn't give Uncharted 2 everything to make people happy and keep them from complaining. Demon's Souls is a far superior game than Uncharted 2, it deserved to win. View
