The thing about the PSP go is...
I have a regular PSP...it's fine. My Bro has a PSP Go. I think the Go is fine for what it is, I guess.
I think some of the complaints are warranted, doesn't anyone else?
The thing is kinda uncomfortable, to be honest...the nub especially.
Size wise its cool and I like the portability factor over the previous versions.
Here is where I have problems:
The price tag... and hear me out.
Not all third parties will have DL, so some games (good ones) may never be DLable.
The screen is smaller (for a decent reason but still..why the price hike?).
The only thing it seems to have on the old PSP is blue tooth. Yeah this is cool, but think what you lose.
Battery life is less than an old PSP with a battery upgrade and since the battery can't be swapped without modding, you cant bring along more batteries.
UMD drive? What about those of us that want to upgrade and not have two PSPs hanging around?
Soo.. I will be paying more for a system that has a smaller screen, lower battery life, not be able to play all new 3rd party games, hurts my thumb even more than a PSP 2000, and no UMD support for all my games.
What is the tradeoff?
You get a harddrive for those DLable titles.
You get Blue tooth support
You get something that fits in the pocket alot better.
So I am not so sure when sizing it up why anyone wouldn't just save the 50 bones and get an old one.
Point being I can understand some of the criticism because some of the moves made by the PSP go don't make sense.
They shoulda held out to release something similar called the PSP 2 so that there was no UMD controversy, They could up the graphics and figured out how to make is more comfortable. The controls could match a regular PS controller for once so we get that second nub and the two triggers. Then it could support BT for those controllers just for the hell of it.
....Just saying
