This is not a duplicate story.
They confirmed it about half an hour ago.

It's a pretty solid

At the moment
you have to quit out of your game to access anything other than the game. So invites, etc, can only be accessed if you quit out of the game. Also, this update will mean PS3 owners will be able to play their own music in-game.
The Trophies stuff is like Xbox Live's Achievements, basically.

MGS4 will change everything, I reckon.
I don't know why anyone wouldn't want a PS3 now.

I'll have it.
£10. That's $20 in real money :)

It's brilliant news.
Nice and free as well.

Well, we've had to wait years for it when 360 owners already
had all this stuff, so a few more months won't hurt.

It is true.
The dev docs that went out with it say "summer", apparently.

I would say there's a very, very strong chance
that this is 100% correct :)

Trophy support and user-soundtracks confirmed.

This sounds a bit odd to me.
There must be a very good reason why they're not doing it for 360. I mean, why not?

I love the way this was approved
when the source is an exclusive VG247 interview and the site isn't even added as a secondary link. Something to point out when the whingers pipe up about credits and stripping interviews down into separate stories. Well done "Kombo".

Nah, he was at SCEE.
Well, he was based in London, but he was the president of worldwide studios in the last job he had with Sony.

He's a proper gent.
And so not stupid. Very measured and professional. I think Sony will miss him a great deal.

I'm doing what journalists do.
Making stories from a source. I've made four stories from the Greenberg segment of that podcast, as you can see on the site. There aren't "50" of them, and they're not "pointless". They're completely valid. It makes the important points digestible for readers, so they don't have to sit through about an hour and a half of people talking about other stuff. As you're well aware :)

Someone approve it?
It's going to fail and it's not a dupe.

Regarding the reports on this.
That makes no sense. There are some massive stories in there based on his quotes. Just because they're from the same source, that doesn't make them any less valid. What if he said "Xbox Live has 50 million customers" at the beginning of the interview and "I'm resigning" at the end. How are those not two different stories?

It does, dude.
In that story you linked to, SCEA said the delay had nothing to do with game's development. Reeves told me it did. It was part of a full interview, but I've just taken that bit out to illustrate the point, obviously.
So there we are :)

So, you were completely wrong.
You claimed I didn't interview David Reeves, got the entire basis of your post absolutely incorrect and now you've realised you're wrong on every count what you're basically saying it that the story you didn't realise was a story just doesn't matter. Which is wrong as well. Anything else you want to be wrong about?

I personally did the interview with David Reeves in London.
If you read the story on VG247, you see that his comment's in conflict with the story you link to there, which is SCEA's Ron Eagle saying on the US PS blog that the game was delayed purely because of Resistance and SOCOM shipping before the end of the year. That story you're pointing out isn't even based on an interview.
You did read the VG247 story, right?
