i was only comparing gears2 to U2. I didnt have uncharted1 so i cant talk about it. Units sold cant be mentioned coz U2 has only been out a short while. i agree with you, my point was the gears2 muliplayers smashes U2 multiplayer in everyway, coop, horde and normal games beat anything that U2 has to offer but in single player U2 has gears beat. i've put many more hours into geears coz i prefer MP to SP View

i love uncharted in every single way and it does beat gears in every department, but with mates round i cant sit there and play it while everyone watches. Coop and horde mode on gears make it more popular in my flat View

does anyone on here not own their console of choice or both yet? If someone on here doesnt, please speak up, the rest of you shouldnt really care, you already have the console you want, why do you care in the PS3 sells a few thousnad more than 360 or vice versa. To pump your ego or would it somehow make you think you bought the right console?

Dont list me the PS3 or 360 exclusives and say this is why it will win, no one cares.

Im lucky to have both so ill be on Uncharted2 until MW2 comes out (getting for 360 coz the controller doesnt give me cramps and theres gonna be some long sessions on mW2) then im getting L4D2.

Play the games not the sales numbers!!! View

its strange. i play my 360 and ps3 on a hdtv so does my brother and 3 of my mates. i know 3 people with ps3 and only one plays on a hdtv. the other two are my gf's 16yr old brother and 13 yr old cousin. both play on standard tvs with the scart lead that came in the box and they think they are getting a hd picture. depends who you ask i suppose. i would have put bioshock in that list but apart from that its a pretty good list.

Shame lots of fanboys have to put their 2cents in and argue over it.

At the end of the day gameplay > graphics anyday for me. View

maybe before the holiday period but not now. KZ2 will hardly affect console sales and the 360 has no big shooters due out at the same time as killzone.

It will be interesting to see the sales on KillZone. Another little Big Planet or another MGS4? I dont know, but i'll be getting it View

Any of you PS3 owners have a 360 as well???
I am the same as the blog writer - Used to be PS1, PS2, Sony fan then got fed up of waiting for the PS3. Got a 360 and loved it. Got a PS3 a year ago and i've only bought 3 games for it (MGS4, uncharted (now traded in) and RFOM - now it collects dust. Im not interested in LBP and i wasnt a big fan of MGS4, just had to play it.

Reasons
- I've had more fun on my 360 than ps3 mainly because of XBL. Even online, the PS3 feels like you are sitting at home alone playing games ; XBL is like a community.

- Friends - most of my friends have the 360, only one has a PS3 and he only plays PES and COD4.

Waitstation - I used to love my PS1 and PS2 for Gran Turismo, Tekken and Wipeout. Only Wipeout has had a proper PS3 release!
Also, the posters above just keep listing games i am waiting for. God of War 3, when will we get to play that? will the PS3 be 4 years old when it comes out? View

I got Gears for a bargain £29.99 so an extra £5 for maps doesnt even take this game to the £39.99 that new games usually cost. View

now if they can just tell me how to stop people getting under the maps on COD WAW, much more annoying. I've only seen one of these glitches once, the shield glitch and he tasted my boomshot :) View

if thats happened to you i recommend getting a new internet connection, i've played Gears2 a lot and never had any lag as bad as that! Only 1 in 5 games is even slightly laggy for me. Horde has NEVER lagged for me and the MP is not as bad as people make out on here. Matchmaking takes no longer if not less time than Halo3. View

fair enough he gives it 8/10, thats his opinion, but he could have mentioned horde mode - the best thing on it, and the MP a little, they'll last me for many months and even years to come. View

thats awesome, the 360 pad but with a PlayStation D-pad is what i want.

To MaximusPrime - the left analogue has to go there, doesnt the PS3 pad hurt your hands after playign for more than 20 minutes? Maybe i have big hands but i dont like the PS3 pad, gives me cramp View

XBL is far superior to PSN. If PSN wasnt free i would never pay for it. I rebought COD4 on the 360 because of the lag on PSN. Plus XLB has far more features and a better community (sony should have put a headset in every box) View

i hate how people harp on about the story in gears not being good - who cares?!?!? its all about the gameplay, the co-op experience and the multiplayer!

For me gears is the most fun game to play on any console or PC so i think its the mutts nuts. no review or blog will make me change my mind View

dont forget you can also stamp their head to bits, blow em up, smash their face in, pick em up, snap their neck or just pop their head off with the end of the torque bow!

Gears os awesome adn the main reason i like it is that there is nothing else that compares to it. playing the new cod over the weekend just felt like another fps, more of the same. Gears is unique almost View

i dont care what games are up for game of the year - i bet final fantasy games and zelda games have been game of the year but i cant stand them. i also dont care about story in games so i guess MGS is lost on me, i just wanna play the game and make the story myself.

its each to their own, just dont hate people for having different views to your own View
