Overlord, that response is what you'd call "PR Spin." The truth behind this matter is that ISPs worldwide have been trying to find ways to implement this exact experience behind closed doors without the knowledge of their subscribers knowing. The reason why the Burkett comment was taken so harshly is because this was the first instance where an ISP exec came out to the forefront to make the claim. It was a bold move. To honestly believe that they'll give people who don't pay a speedy access route while giving those who do pay a faster access route, still presents the same problem. The slower "bus lane" will still feel like lag in comparison to the "speedy bus lane". View

Zhuk, I completely understand where you're coming from. As I too was very discouraged with the history that PSU has had to live with. However, for the duration of time that I have been a member of the staff, I have clamped down and have not allowed any "tabloid material" as you like to call it, to be posted. Obviously, some things can never be lived down, that is just human nature. However, it's how things progress, not how they started that will always matter most.

I'm sorry that you feel the way you do, but your obvious intention on anything PlayStation related is to curse it. Which is in itself, a sad state. Hopefully you'll come out of the shell. ;) View

I wrote this update and no where in it is N4G.com being bashed. I even referred to N4G.com as being RESPECTABLE. All I clearly stated was that we originally got the rumor from here and this is also where it started. Both are complete truths. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, PUDding. The title chosen and blurb for the rumor were very misleading and was what started the entire thing. This was never a rumor to originally begin with, as you know. View

Lets look at it like this...

PS3 = Everyone is able to play this game out of the box(chances are if you have a PS3, you have a PC and could use that keyboard/mouse).

360 = You're going to have to pay for the 3rd party K/B converter, if you don't have Live you're going to have to pay for that as well, and then finally, if you just happened to have bought a core system, you're going to have to go out and buy that too. That's going to alienate a BIG chunk of their userbase considering what is it? 10 Million out of 17 Million that have LIVE in general? So that automatically leaves 7 Million people having to pay extra money, just to play this game.

PS: I understand the concept of replying with "Well if you exclude a console completely, you'll alienate a bigger chunk in general." However, exclusives do this all the time and it isn't an issue.

I don't think you can even effectively argue that the 360 is just as good of a choice as the PS3 in THIS example.

Keep in mind, I do own both consoles and play them equally. This is just how I view it in terms of gamers wanting to save money. View
