They definitely have a lot of fixing up to do before this game is playable at a high level. I don't think it's just your eyes. View

@2.

Lol -- PlayStation University has published several negative Sony articles and editorials. Including "Sony: The Death of Consumer Loyalty."

Hardly fanboyish.

Thanks though. View

@Jay

I write Top 8 lists for my site all of the time. It's not because I'm lazy though, it's because I like to do it and I like to promote actual discussion through disagreement and other's opinions. I think the list method is one of the best ways to create that type of discussion whether it happens in the comment section here or on the site.

However, I also don't score the reviews I write. I force users to read the content in order to find out if the game is good or not from my perspective. Does this mean I'll never be linked to via metacritic or gamerankings? Sure, but it isn't always about the link ins. I'd much rather have people read the content than not.

I think there can be a happy medium between the two, IMO. View

I'd agree with your statement if Sony had made it mandatory for all PSP games to have a digital counterpart (like the Trophy argument). The problem is, Sony hasn't given any such mandate to third-party PSP developers. It's entirely up to them. Considering Sony has said that "most" are on board, that means some aren't. So in the end, some games aren't going to be playable by Go owners. That's the problem I have with the situation. View

Not sure if you know how business works, but companies redesign products to benefit the sale of that product once it hits retail. Kind of like what the PS3 Slim did for the PS3 sales overall. Just like the NDSi did for Nintendo. Just like the Elite did for 360.

It has nothing to do about "choice." Your response is entirely irrelevant to what is even being discussed in the editorial. Gamers have choice, but choice isn't what is being discussed. What is being discussed is Sony making poor business decisions in order to push a product that isn't selling better than its previous iteration (more than likely). It's counter-productive to the entire point. View

This would make sense if netbooks weren't cheaper and designed for an entirely different usage point than actual full on laptops.

Terrible comparison. View

Please keep up. There has already been 4-6 PSP games released since October 1st that are NOT on the PlayStation Store for download on the PSPgo. One of those games being the latest Naruto title from Namco Bandai. Namco has stated that they have no plans to distribute it digitally. So that means Go owners will NEVER get to play that game.

If you can't see this issue here, you're blind. We're a PlayStation site and this is relevant to the PlayStation brand. It fits. Just because we support a console, doesn't mean we turn a blind-eye to things we disagree with. View

Well, I thought it was only fair that if I'm taking an entire generation of gaming into account, I have to give credit to all developers who put time and effort into delivering their product. I'll always be a gamer first before anything else. While the site I run is ps3-centric, it's only because that's the console I play on most, so I feel most comfortable covering it as a whole. View

Yeah, it's really hard to nail it down to 8, but I wanted to stay with the "Top 8" trend that I've established for my lists thus far.

I would have liked to add about 5-7 more developers, lol. View

5/8 develop for the PS3 -- three have done so exclusively on the games mentioned pretty much. I think it has a strong enough PS3 focus. View

Trialing Microtransactions? I don't know if you were born yesterday or not, but microtransactions have been going on in the online F2P MMO world for years. This isn't anything new. They're not the first to do it and they won't be the last. View

Actually, I write them because I enjoy writing them. I also enjoy seeing how other people would change a list or what titles they'd include themselves. Not everything has to be hardcore news, trailers, reviews and previews.

Lightened discussion about gaming topics like this are a nice change of pace and create good discussion sometimes. If it's not your cup of tea, just don't read it. You're obviously not the demographic I'm trying to reach with my Top 8 lists. They're not for everyone, but that doesn't make them "dumb" or anything else.

They're here for entertainment purposes, which is why they're listed as "articles" and not news. If you can't enjoy something for what it is, that's your own problem. View
