quad-core is core 2 duo duo, [core-core]-[core-core] so it's not real four cores CPU, three-core Phenom is core-core-core which in theory should have been better than quad-core but the quality of AMD products wasn't quite too good recently, so until the real next-gen multiple core CPU comes, i'll stick to my high end core 2 duo CPU, well it shouldn't take too long seeing how fast technology moves. i bet you're not using "NoScript" and going to warez sites(or some other infected sites), the more popular chrome gets the more likely hackers are going to target it, which is happening with firefox right now and we all know that IE is the worst browser to surf the internet safely, so if u use NoScript and only allow trusted sites on it, there is zero chance you'll get any virus...

Well take me for example, my antivirus (pc tools) expired since a month so my pc was not protected by an antivirus, so I've surfed all kind of sites(from facebook to warez and porn) and when i bought my new antivirus few days ago(currently using kaspersky pro) i found only 1 virus which i know it came from a flash memory that i plugged into my pc, so zero from firefox + NoScript.just my 2 cents..
the only downside of NoScript is that it slows the browser's startup at first launch, well nothing important imo..

and don't forget that chrome is still in the beta so it doesn't support all websites and it is still vulnerable(google the security leaks that've been patched, some of 'em are horrible) i bet there are lot of issues to fix... and finally Chrome is built using the Gecko engine built by Mozilla(creaters of firefox) or at least utilizing a lot of code from it and from firefox itself.. Well i am not saying that Chrome will turn out to be a horrible browser but it is still in Beta and it's not popular YET among the hacker community so it'll be targeted View

well there is windows search 4.0 for xp, it's quite good... and if one fancy graphix, there are many amazing themes for xp, some which amazingly replicates vista, well i don't like any, when i had vista(used it for a month) i had disabled themes and most unnecessary services, i always go for optimal performance which is where XP is king, but it can look nice too...
Vista's only advantage is one of its one of hideoust features, i didn't really mind it, but it's not that good, any good security suite can provide that and much and can be tuned to one's liking. View
