Even though i think sony did a great job recently...they are finally focusing on the games which make a system sell....BUT
they are coming out as arrogant after e3....so did nintendo (durng e3)....
nintendo is already dead as far as i know....they can sell i billion wiis but i wont be buying one...it is not for gamers...
back to sony....they shouldnt be arrogant...why dont they keep humble and silent it works best..(e.g. killzone 2 graphics).....
* also a bit off topic...halo looked good too and i liked AC as well, what was the fuss all about...plus sony fans should stop saying this "pre-pre-alpha", anyone with little software development experience would know better...it should be understood as: there is still a lot of time to polish/improve the game.....when i see people saying that its in 'pre-pre-pre-alpha' and meaning it ....it kind of gives a very stupid impression (developer used it metaphorically)
lastly, on the price drop thing....this is what most likely would happen:
ps3 60gb version phasing out at 499 and eventually replaced by 80gb version without the game at 499........sony wouldnt say so right now, which would lead people to wait for the price drop of 80gb version + game...and will not help at all in clearing out the 60gb inventory...they have created a small opportunity to sell systems and clear out inventory.....September onwards would be a defining time at least for the ps3 and 360...and sony cannot afford to go into that time frame with 600 $ price tag ...and an imminent 360 price drop....
i have always been a sony fan...but sonys arrogance in 2005 really worried me then and i am seeing glimpses of that again.....
also killzone looks awesome but they still have to prove the gameplay part...until then it is futile to compare it to Halo or gears...and eventually its about gameplay...(warhawk is a prime example)...but i am hoping for the best (because it does look awesome)
