"@ GUNS AND SWORDS

SO tell me honestly, do you think a 3 months delay window for US/EU release will change the games physique in any way?"

excuse me but what are you talking about?

"Especially knowing the lack of QA coming from SE from recent games."

again, what are you saying?

FF Crystal Chronicles for the wii was solid and so was all of their new PSP titles, I'm guessing you haven't played them. there's only one game they made that had bugs and that game wasn't using their own proprietary crystal tools engine. that was last remnant. infinite undiscovery and star ocean 4 weren't made by SE, tri-ace made those titles SE was the publisher.

seriously, start naming some SE titles that used their own engine that had issues that were made by them.

sikbeta-

"SE created the "Crystal tools" to develop a Game on the PS3 and make the port for x360 without using 2 separate Engines and Crystal tools don't represent any Quality loss on the x360 port"

no they didn't.

the crystal tools engine was originally called the "white engine" and was made during ps2's time. the engine was also made to develop for ps2, game cube, and xbox. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

the engine's purpose works to this date in conjunction with many types of hardware, including the wii. the crystal tools program is a PC driven program that reads and deploys it's projects in multiple console languages. respectively (sikbeta) your prospective of the crystal tools engine (aka white engine) is not all that accurate. the game's been out a while in japan. and i think the ps3 version was the only version that was in consideration in that territory.

all the reviewers in that territory haven't said anything about it needing more development time. so what would be the point in reviving the topic?

the game is out over there, and they successfully managed to get the game out sooner than 2011 with no reported bugs. that should be good enough. View

man, they really know how to do shiny armor. i like it, almost miss took the shot of the armored guy and the women for a pre-rendered scene.

both ps3/360 have the video. and at the 28:34th minute they even say it's the 360 version. so i don't think they really pulled off anything.

the video's pretty interesting.
is there going to be a demo? View

"2010 is the year of my long-awaited new blockbuster project."

"blockbuster project" that confirms it. it's gonna be big.

combining that new art director along with Uematsu and Hironobu, it's destined to have the words "classic" written all over it. i can't wait.

i hope they start letting lose some shots or a big 6 minuet trailer in the coming months. View

hmmmm, well
I'm not really for or against the article but, you don't have to know Japanese to fall in love with the graphics. I saw FF7 Advent first time in 05 with no subs and i thought it was the best cgi ever. View

@ 1-

how can you say that?

there's millions of 360 gamers out there, and mass effect 2 is coming out in 30 days.

there's going to be tons of people gaming.

edit, why am i getting disagrees? View

i would have to agree with (Cold 2000)

but i think what would help the system a whole lot better is if there wasn't any fanbase controlling ANY of the news what so ever.

also take out the bubble and the disagreeing/agreeing system, i know at least 30 gaming sites that don't use it and maintain a whole completely friendly appearance.

being how this site is, it's actually contributing to fanboys....which is very hypocritical to the term "gamers" used in News 4 Gamers.

there's no point in using the word if the site ends up being controlled by a specific fanbase, gamers alike should be able to see what they wish and to speak their opinions on their favorite titles or subjects. View

hmmmmm, do any know what MGSR even looks like?

when will footage of that title be shown? View

hey, what's with the 15 disagrees.

did anybody do a single research of the reviews on this game?

or did they just needed to let off their steam on this page and on my comment?

frankly i'm not buying it just cause of the female lead, it be like saying that i bought DMC4 cause of two guys in red jackets or viewtiful joe cause of short guy in red tights.

that's not why i bought either of those games, it's the game play. View

it's obviously the combat.

the main lady is just a character Hideki came up with to add a different flavor to the game, the whole fun to the game isn't just watching Bayonetta bounce around doing quick flashy moves, it's about executing them and enjoying the the pay off from it.

take away the combat and it wouldn't have nearly as much as the success as it has now. View

the women don't look to shabby, i don't know but hasn't anyone got the feeling like playboy loves to base their photos or art direction on the women of the 1940s era.

it's just got that style to it on all of their people. View

lost odyssey i can say is a very much under appreciated and underrated RPG i've played yet.

the core concept of lost odyssey was to bring back the turn base system that FF7 and 8 had.

the story of lost od is pretty much the same concept of final fantasy 7; the whole world of lost odyssey revolves around this magical energy (which is red instead of green.)

it is this energy that makes the city of Urah the most powerful and progressive city in all the world of lost odyssey.(like midgar in ff7) the energy has changed the way people live, how technology progresses and how battles are won.

kaim is a mercenary solider who ends up going ex-solder when he finds out that he singed a deal with the wrong person.

If that doesn't sound similar i don't know what, but even the intro to lost od is very similar to FF7.
http://www.gamersyde.com/ne...

anyways, i think the game was much viewed in the wrong way, the music for one is something to listen to.

i hope they make a lost odyssey 2 or something similar. View

Maxing out i think has more to do with the engine you're using.

the developers at turn10 maxed out the forza2 engine, and so they had to rewrite the engine so they can take better advantage of the GPU and CPU.

Every time they make a new engine they're that much better at working with the hardware, and each time a new engine is built they're that much better at making better engines.

take a look at Bungie as well for instance, you can also see the advantage of rewriting a new engine there too.

hmmmmm, kinda fast.

the video probably would have had a different vibe if they would of used some House or some electronica music,

this http://www.youtube.com/watc...
or something from Eric Prydz.
http://www.youtube.com/watc...

or even this http://www.youtube.com/watc...

....hell, it worked for GTA4's episode :)

i guess I'll use that in the background when i see that part coming.

still, it's got some solid motion-capturing none the less :) View
