Sadly pirating plagues nearly all consoles, the PSP and DS included. But if the 1 in 100 survey has any truth to it, the PSP currently has 20,000,000 units out there (roughly) and 1 in 100 would still mean there's a possibility to sell AT LEAST 200,000 copies. 200,000 x $40 = $8,000,000. Of course you'll have to take off developer wages, marketing, etc. But Ubisoft has the assets already. They could easily make this for a couple million tops and easily make a profit. Say after the 200,000 original copies are sold, Ubisoft lowers the price to $20 9 months later and sell another 200,000 copies. That's $4,000,000 of almost pure profit. Definitely not something that most developers would pass up if you ask me.
As for controls and such, the analog would work much like GoW, Daxter, Socom, or most other games on the PSP. It wouldn't necessarily be a lock-on system, but moving the analog left and right would turn the character left or right while up would move the character forward. Down would move the character backwards. Press up on the d-pad and the player could go into first person view where the analog moves the head around to get a getter view of everything...the controls should be pretty simple to map out for this.
