I have to say that kind of is subliminal advertising. If for instance the only pictures you ever saw of tissues were Kleenex brand, you may think they are the only ones who makes tissues. In fact, many people (primarily elderly) who came into my old job at a retail store didn't call them tissues, just called them Kleenex. Maybe they didn't know any better because of what ads they saw.

Or maybe they were just old and forgetful. Both very possible. View

This to me is what next-gen games are all about. Its not all about making something look pretty and shiny, its about pushing the story, size, and content of games. I hope they are able to pull this off. View

To be honest I preferred GTA II to III. The move to 3-D may have enticed some, but I just found it frustrating. The camera was never far back enough or rotated to the right angle to see who was shooting me. GTA II had the better bird's eye view, and it was just more fun. It was so easy to get the army called out on you and steal a tank. It was glorious. View

So basically what I've been hearing from this thread is the equivalence of only watching a movie if you get a sticker that told everyone else you watched it, or reading a book (yes they still exist) only if you get a shiny bookmark at the end, or only having friends if you're given a present after you get drunk with them.

Doesn't really make much sense at all, at least to me. The fun should come from the game itself, not a pop-up message. View

WTF. Uncharted had medals. Just because they weren't called Trophies doesn't mean they weren't goals to achieve while playing the game.
