Thats very impressive lighting effects.
My work involves Rendering programs, and this type of rendering takes some serious calculation.
Admittedly, this engine must use some simulated effect rather than full Particle tracing, but the effect of light bouncing off a surface and taking some of that colour in its diffusion is very impressive to see in realtime.
Full particle tracing is one of the highest quality renders my software does and takes a long time since it shoots millions of partilces of light on the model.
i.e. to get a realistic render for a rendered video clip you'd need to shoot somthing in excess of 500 million particles.
so giving a similar effect in realtime? great stuff! cant wait to see this in future games.
