A large subset of the pirating scene like to crack machines so that they can execute their own code on there. This is possible with the older PS3s (not the slim ones).

While that didn't kill attempts to hack the PS3, I imagine it played a part in preventing too many hackers from trying. The PS3 can probably be hacked, but why bother when, for most people, there's nothing to gain View

Personally I enjoy having extra goals to work for in order to get more value from my games. But it's not so much the number of trophies I have that drives me forward, it's the simple sense of personal accomplishment.

I'm one of the people who collected every single dog tag in MGS2. I 100%ed GTA:VC and GTA:SA. I picked up every in-game trophy I could get for Super Smash Brothers Melee. Hence, trophies were a logical progression for me because they give extra goals on top of wanting to "beat" the game.

I wouldn't care if trophies\acheivements were not publically viewable, but I like having a checklist of things I can try to do to get more out of my games.

That's just me though. View

It appears to have been fixed now. All 3 games are in my cart and no discount is being applied. I wonder how many people were able to take advantage of that. View

Reports seem fairly mixed, but I tried it myself and it definitely applies the discount at the checkout. No telling how much longer it will last. View

For what it's worth, while the console versions had 3 disks, the PC version had 4: 1 for installation and the 3 game disks. View

For what it's worth, the second image appears to have 2 analog sticks, so at least they put some thought into their fake design. View

I'm waiting for them to trade the projector for contact lenses or glasses, that would be so much cooler and more practical View

£4.24 in the UK as well, much nicer price than £16.99. I reckon this will be my first Steam purchase View

This was the first game I bought for my system, to this day I firmly believe that Sixaxis is great when used correctly, even if very few other titles support that theory. View

With Trophy Support now a part of Burnout Paradise, I'm almost certain they won't ask you to complete the game a third time. Besides, even if they did you'll already have the trophies for most of it, so all you'd have to do is get these 7 seperately. View

mikeslemonade: I respectfully disagree :P

Though that does beg the question, why aren't there any "Top 10 Gaming Behinds?" lists? View

That's a good point. As far as I see it, Rockstart would have to pay Microsoft back the $50 million plus more to be allowed to send the DLC to the PS3. And at $20 each they would have to sell 2.5 million copies of the DLC to break even, unrealistically assuming 100% profit, which simply put is not going to happen.

I'd like to get more out of my GTA, but the DLC won't be there to do it. View

I do find it strange that you claim this game has too many cutscenes and a terrible story, yet it's that exact formula which made you a fan in the first place. There is more gameplay in this game than MGS1 and 2 combined, along with that obviously comes a lot of cutscenes.

Ok, the ending sequence goes on for nigh on an hour including the credits but they have a lot to wrap up.

For what it's worth, few people will disagree that the online service was flawed at best, but the game types aren't too bad, I haven't played it that much myself so I can't say too much about the online. View
