@rememberthe357

First of all you might think that the MMO's are crappy but i find most of them to be awesome, especially games like perfect world which has polish compared to that of WOW. And you're talking about there being less exclusives. Heck more and more games are moving away from the exclusive tag. And thats not just on PC most system exclusives are also going multiplatform now. Infact many sequels to games which were exclusive to one platform are now gracing the PC such as dead rising, lost planet etc etc View

@Greywulf

Ha you just make once case and you think that represents the entire face of the industry? Did you not read me mentioning games like starcraft and diablo? There are many other franchises that will sell amazingly well on the pc like battlefield, dragon age, all valve games, football manager(yes it does sell well on the pc), and most of the RTS games. Free to play multiplayer games are also extremely successful. Plus well ported multiplatform games sell well on the pc, as has been demonstratred with bioshock and mass effect View

well it did sell around 2 million copies...and unless somehow bobby kottick is somehow sharing a piece of the pie from COD sales with you....i don't think those are very bad numbers. And when you say that it is hard to ignore the consoles you forget major players such as starcraft, diablo and almost all the mmo cash cows out there. Its just on the surface it seems that way cause the 'big players' are trying to spread out, and in doing so they tend to ignore the pc with shoddy ports which would obviously not sell well. But then Valve, blizzard, bioware etc etc are milking as much money from the pc are most devs out there. As has been said countless times, the pc market is not declining. Its just evolving. View

The devs themselves are saying that is ingame. And right now they are the only ones who have seen the game in action. So don't talk like a know-it-all noob and just shut up and wait for more videos View

Going by your own theory you just want the game to be good and to succeed but even you haven't played it. You're just on the other side of the same coin buddy, the only good thing being that you are optimistic about it. But then don't comment on the people who are getting negative vibes about it cause they are using as much logic as you are View

You people just don't want to believe its a bad game. This guy has played it. What if it is not that good. You people just cannot dismiss that possibility View

yup this game is going to be awesome. Its the first mmorpg in which you have to actually aim spells and melee attacks to cause damage. And enemies can actually dodge spells which is a first for the mmorpg genre View

hmm acc to vgchartz 1 million on 360, arnd 300,000 on ps3. So that leaves arnd 700,000 on pc. If i remember correctly npd had released retails sales numbers which stated only 17,000 copies sold on pc. So either npd got their numbers horribly wrong, or digital sales are horribly underestimated View

plus i hope ppl do realise that the bulk of pc sales come from europe. Bioshock which was touted as a failure on the PC sold more than 1 million copies. Most of those sales came from EU. View

weren't pc sales arnd 6% of total sales? Hmm probabyly cause its the top selling game on steam too View

I agree the graphics are not mindblowing but they are good no doubt about it. Like when you go to retrieve the Urn of sacred ashes the art style of the entire place is just fabulous. I wasn't comparing it to DS and i agree that DS has better graphics and better animations View

And the last time i checked(which was roughly 2 mins back) DA has a metacritic rating of 91% and demon souls has 89% View

Its not always about bringing something new to the table. HL and HL2 did not bring anything new to the table but what they did they got it right. Don't get me wrong DS is a great game and a big step ahead in the way of innovation. But DA just gets it right with the story the characters and the micromanagement which is deep as hell. If you tend towards action Rpg's then look no further than DS. But if you love the classic role playing experience - playing through an epic story where your decisions influence the entire game, then they don't come much better than DA. It all boils down to your definition of an enjoyable rpg experience. I prefer both and i'm happy DA won. But it would have been better if a lesser known game would have won. Gives the devs the recognition and the exposure they thoroughly deserve View

Why are so many ppl cribbing about this i just don't understand. I have a ps3 as well as a pc. I love demon souls. It as an absolute treat to play and i have skipped many meals just to get my a$$ kicked again and again in the game. It is innovative...no doubt about it. But Dragon age is one of the deepest stories ever told. Every place you visit in the game has a lot of backstory to it all of which can be experienced through the origin stories. And these little stories are so immersive they can easily distract you from the main plot. Sure it doesn't innovate or the gameplay isn't as exciting as Demon souls but when you look at the bigger picture - the story, the dialog, the characters, the lack of a karma system(which is just plain awesome), the art style, micromanagement in combat(which is deep as $hit), the audio, and the graphics(especially on the pc version), its not that difficult to see why its getting all this praise from reviewers.
