@cranium: Also 9s for Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and MGS4, and 8s for Uncharted, Heavenly Sword and Resistance: Fall of Man.

But inFamous? Oh no, one PS3 exclusive got a 7! I guess that means everyone working there hates Sony. View

>they don't believe the release date...because they 'don't like release dates anymore' because MGS4 was delayed out of 2007...and they say 'tricky hardware' is also the problem...

No, they say: "Well, the trailer says 2009, and Heavy Rain has been called Sony’s “most important” game of 2009 by David Cage, founder of developer Quantic Dream, which indicates that the company is at least planning to get the game out the door sometime this year. However, the combination of reportedly tricky-to-program-for machinery, a small development team and one of the most graphically ambitious adventure games ever does not fill us with confidence.

"And really, we haven’t trusted release dates on trailers since Metal Gear Solid 4 kept getting pushed back, so the “2009” date for this eerie suspense story is already suspect."

Seriously, you read that and thought they said they "don't like release dates anymore?" View

> Why do they single out Heavy Rain?

Because there's a ton of interest for Heavy Rain, and by extension a ton of people who will click on an article with it in the headline.

Incidentally, try clicking the 360 and PC tabs at the top of the page and see how the article's promoted on those pages.

360: No Alan Wake until 2010?
PC: No Half-Life until 2010? View

The 5/10 "review" for KZ2 was part of a larger, tongue-in-cheek article in which a bunch of editors got together and gave out tentative scores to games that were on display at last year's E3, based on 10 minutes of play. The article said as much. It was never meant to be taken seriously as anything other than preliminary impressions of unfinished games. View

I think you might be in the minority there, my friend - just because you found it disappointing, it doesn't mean the millions of other people who bought the game do, too. I know I'm really looking forward to the DLC - but then, I also liked how the cars handled, so take from that what you will. View

That's just some blogger who makes an assertion without citing any sources. Don't accuse people of lying unless you've got something better to back it up with.

On top of that, the article never says the PS3 isn't getting ANY DLC - just that the 360 is getting exclusive DLC that the PS3 isn't. Which your blogger agrees with. View

Yep. That's why they gave You're in the Movies their worst-game-of-the-show "award." Because Microsoft paid them to. View

It's not linear like a shooter; think of it as Oblivion with guns, but much better. The tactical system works like this: you hit a button, and the action slows to a near-stop. You can then select which body parts you want to target, and - depending on how many "action points" you have - you can set up multiple shots with multiple targets. Then you exit the tactical view, and you'll watch as you squeeze off your shots and dismember the hell out of your enemy.

So basically, you can switch it from an FPS to turn-based strategy with the touch of a button. It's pretty awesome. View

It's a parody, and it's pretty obviously meant to be silly and broad on purpose. Think of it as mockery of other sites' more serious character battles, and it might piss you off less. View

How is it poor logic? If we accept the argument that the success of white consoles is somehow racist, then it necessarily follows that said racism is on the part of the people who make the choice to buy a white console over a black one. I'm pretty sure the companies who make black consoles don't set them up to fail on purpose, so it's not racism on their part.

Now, I'm not saying it IS racist. I can't imagine that anyone who knows anything about video games would honestly pick one console over another just because of its color. However, if you want to hypothetically argue that it's racist, then the idea that it's racism on the industry's part doesn't really make sense.

Aaaaand I'm out of bubbles. Go nuts. View

That's a fair point. But then, it'd be racism on the part of the people buying the systems, not the industry. View
