Since what, 06, Square has been releasing remakes of old Final Fantasy games. Final Fantasy I and II for the PSP (I think), Final Fantasy III and IV for the DS this year (III I dont know but IV I am) and well... 5 and 6... who knows where thats gonna go.

So after htem 6, it's the logical step that the next Final Fantasy there is...

Final Fantasy VII.

And it obviously can't be done on the handhelds and it cant be done on any Nintendo system as it was a Nintendo system which the then Squaresoft switched development from the N64 to the PS1.

And obviously, as Sony owns the rights of Final Fantasy VII WITH Square Enix, there is no way on earth it will go to the Xbox 360 unless Square gave it's every single last penny to Sony to give the game to the 360 exclusively and even then, it wont happen.

So of course, a remake of Final Fantasy VII will happen on the PLAYSTATION 3 in due course.

It's not a matter of if... it's a matter of when.

Steven: I agree with you there, I even have My Life as a King on my Wii as well as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII on the PSP to give me my fix on Final Fantasy until XIII comes out.

But this is the thing, like you said, it's their lazyness thats bringing them down thinking "Hey, we're Square Enix, we're the makers of Final Fantasy and automaticlly means you'll buy it so we can just fuk about and just be lazy with it"

I know it won't happen again now that he's long left to form Mistwalker but I really...really would love to see Sakaguchi back at the helm of a Final Fantasy title, either at Square Enix or through a collaberation with Mistwalker and Square but I think that is just a pipedream.

TBH, I think the recent downfall in Square recently isn't coming from Square itself but it's coming from one person within the company.

Signs are pointing to me that troube is a brewing at Square and it wont be long before a very big person in the company, someone like Nomura, leaves the company.
