?
Jin, maybe you should let thammer be, if we tell him he's wrong he'll just refer us to ibm.com for everything rather than give us links to prove what he is talking about. I myself can refute much of what he has said right now and i have links to back all of them up. If the need be, i will not hold back. View

interesting
Yeah... I guess this debate is going in your favor. If you dont believe me just go to www.news4gamers.com... lol View

See...
Thammer this is exactly the reason why you are just a contradiction waiting to happen. Next time you want to post that we should all do our research, why dont you take your own advise to heart. Believe me, it will keep the amount of times you have to apologize for your wrong inputs to a lower level. View

hm...
Thammer, I dont understand... If you said that "You can not controll what people post bro" then why is "stop" the title of your comment? Why are you trying to prevent kingboy from voicing his opinion? Sounds like a contradiction but then again like you said "you can tell who knows what they are talking about and who is just posting for there own reasons". View

what about some quotes and links thammer? You keep telling everyone to do their research but you have yet to prove that yours is valid. Come back when you have proof that you know what your talking. And dont tell us to go to IBM.com because it is as general as me saying that ps3's cell processor is the chip that the doctors want to utilize, go to google.com ... Come on. Give us links. View

come on
Lucid, give it a break. Your trying to front like your a peacemaker, but its nothing but a coverup and your name says it all, "lucid 360" your a fanboy. so it really does not help your case to step into this as a mediator when in fact you are clearly in favor of the landofsand (who knows for sure if lucid is just not another screenname under landofsand.) but you know what, if we couldnt comment on each others comments, then this wouldnt be much of a forum. Interesting
But then again, it has barely begun. Sure Blu-ray is out but both Blu and HD still have their share of bugs to work out and then finally in all its glory, one shall be crowned the dominant format. And until the final console has be released, much of many things said can be deemed as speculation. However, this does not deter the fact that the ps3 will be a great console. View

5.2? what are you talking about?
I don't understand where your conception of "most people" comes from. Have you taken a poll or can you elaborate on where your sources came from? View

uhhh... not really. Shadowflare is right
Shotty think about what you’re saying. The blu-ray is not only for pcs, it’s also for home entertainment thus a blu-ray player. Therefore, saying that Microsoft commands the pc does nothing when compared to all the brands of electronics that are commanded by the Sony title. Another thing I’m not sure of is the source of your information. Even if it pc manufacturers save “$100 million” when they don’t use Blu-ray software, since we are talking about more than just the pc here, what about the entertainment industry? You said that the DVD is popular because it “has little copy right protection so burning something onto DVD is quick and easy.” However, did you know that “DVD piracy costs studios close to $4 billion each year, approaching $5 billion by the end of the decade?” ( http://macrovision.com/prod... ( http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/a... Now compare that to 100 million and think about whose losing more here and why one would chose Blu-ray over the HD-DVD, which as you said compared to the DVD, “is the same thing just with faster read speed and greater capacity.” To the entertainment industry, which is more of an innovation, a faster DVD or a Disc with greater copyright protection?
