Haven't read the article or the comments as im off to work but Gears2 is the best game ive played this year.

campaign is brilliant and changes up the gameplay for fun with more story with emotion and the mp is also excellent especially hord mode.

People are always looking for reasons to hate especially on this site when it comes to the 360 and its exc games.

Either way im guessing those that own a 360 are to busy with gaming in there free time to care i know i am. Lol.

As a few people have already said most of the audience that would like to play this game probably have a wii. 300 quid is alot to pay for rac/lbp.

Got to say i kinda wish id bought a new laptop right now for spore, wow(luv this game) and sims 3 : (

Maybe next year ill feel different but all the big games are on 360 this year except for lbp. For me resistance 2 is an also ran cp to Gears 2 and lfd. View

But ive got to admit i have not been playig it that much because gears 2 and fable 2 have been dominating my game time.

Also since the new naruto game on the ps3 is a waste of time(no story practically) and scroll collecting gets boring fast. Im now replaying though the 1st 360 naruto game to get ready for the new one.

Seriously although the fighting looks great on the ps3 the game is boring. No story or manga clips pratically(haku and Zabuza are mia, the chunin exams are just a series of fights! and worst of all NO ONLINE!) Made me realise how good a job ubisoft did in tellig the story in rise of a ninja and the forest of death online component.

Infact if it were not for lbp, blue ray and ps2 bc id of sold my 60 gb by now. Ive had it for a month!

Unchartered is great and heavenly sword is short but sweet and rac is good but thats really all im interested in. May give valkyrie chronicles a go. View

I wasn't gonna buy this anyways to many good games out and im getting my online shooting fix from Gears 2.

Never played the 1st and don't have any intention to right now. I think its the fact that im not to interested in the story and Nathan seems very generic.

Thing that gripped me about gears as the gameplay and graphics of course but also the story what little there was in the 1st game.

2nd Gears game really expanded the story and was much more cinematic.

Well ill let you guys get back to posting comments on how edge is insignificant and bias etc etc.

Yeah suddenly one of the bigesst franchises in history and a game that was raved about by the critic with a metacritic score of 95% is rubbish. : )

Fair enough some may not like the new direction but i for one loved the story and thought for the first next gen GTAIV it hit all the right spots.

I smell some pissed off fanboys. It seems that ever since we heard about the dlc exclusivity this game has mysteriously gone down in Ps3 only owners eyes. lol.

If this or a 360 exc gets game of the year all hell will break lose on this site with 1000's of killzone 2 new screen shots been posted an hour.

Day off so im gonna get lost in Albion for a day play some horde mode and fin off the story for lbp. peace.

Enjoy the hating on N4g and ill enjoy the games coming out for the 360/ps3 and this dlc when it surfaces. Have fun : ) View

Luved the lfd demo played 3 player coop and this is now a must own for me. The excitement and atmosphere is brilliant up there with gears 2 when it comes to these two points.

As for the graphics they look beautiful on my 40" sony KDL40W4500. Facial and body animations are also stellar.

Remains to be seen how the campaign plays out but so far this would be a must own for any console. But unfortunately for Ps3 only owners its a 360 console exc.

Ill say it again stop being so narrow minded and hating on somthing you haven't even played and come join us for some zombie slaying fun : ) The more the merrier.

I want everyone to enjoY gaming as much as i am right now and thats why i reccomending a 360 to all our customers at Game station,friends who have Ps3's or no next gen consoles and to anyone on N4g thats willing to listen.

Christmas is gonna be great.

P.s if you like lbp try out Viva pinata 2 different but also both for the creative minded and both great fun.

Nintendo were first with the mii idea but Nxe is alot more than just the avatars.

The party system is brilliant,netflix added,save games to the hardrive to speed up load times and make games look better,easier access to content.

All we need now is the 100 vs 1 game show and a browser to complete online gaming perfection.

I bought my Ps3 1 month ago and a apart from a bit of lbp, gears 2 and fable 2 have been ruling my game time.

Played the demo with a few friends and the tension/atmosphere was edible.

This went from a maybe to a must own for me after the demo. Half life 2 then Team fortress,portal and now this.

Valve definately ain't one trick ponies.

I have a Ps3 and i personally dont get why there are articles posted everyday on killzone screens shots and no articles on resistance 2.

Its like the shameful love child that know one wants to talk about even though its meant to be a great game.

The only conclusion that i can come to is that Gears 2 is blowing up in sales,reviews and peoples opinions and although Ressistance 2 is great it has not reached the dizzying heights of gears 2. Am i right?

I reccommend that those commenting on this article run out and buy themselves a 360 gears1/gears2 bundle deal so they have the next big shooting game this year while they wait for Kill zone 2.

OR atleast start supplying articles on the new best game on Ps3 LBP.

Ps3 fans should be thankful that lbp lived up to expectations (i luv it) otherwise this year would of been a real anti climax.

Try playing gears 2 best shooter ive played ever. WHAT A GAME : ) In fact id say one of the best games ive ever played.

Love the game the stories level design is brilliant and some of the levels already created are stelar.

But this game cp to fable 2 and gears 2 has underperformed at my shop. This could be due to people not knowing its out yet but also because the ps3 is still to expsensive for most people especially those without a hd tv to take advantage of the br player.

Also its an untested market so we don't know how people would take to it. I think its hard to pass up a 360 at its current entry price and games libary. I know i find it hard to sell the ps3 as a games console in cp.

Heres hoping lbp sells well as i for one want to see more inovation in the games industry and although i love gears2,fable 2 and lbp i apreciate the risk Sony took with making lbp and commend it as well.

Some of you Sony fans/owners need to start buying games rather than just talking about them. Hs (brilliant but short game) has already been a casualty in this war. We don't want artistic titles like these to die out do we?

P.s After playing hs i would of payed £40 for that game. Its beautiful in every sense and so cinematic.

p.s.2 Anyone wondering wheter to get gears2 wonder no more its the best game ive played this year with lbp and fable2 following closely behind. The Ps3 is a beast of a machine and graphically can churn out games above the current mutliplatform standard and the exc games ive so far played have been top notch but with things like this happening it will be a console like my wii only there for the exc : (. But saying that what exc! : ) View

Got this with my Ps3 along with unchartered,ractod and HS. The racing is brilliant even with this demo i have to say that Gt is still the best racer when it comes to the sheer drving exp.

The graphics,the game play and the presentation are superb. Even though this sis a demo im addicted and gonna get a wheel just for it.

MS want to be careful they don't fall into the Sony trap of promising then not delivering. It just means people get dissappointed and pissed off....

Ive just got a Ps3 to complelte the hatrick of consoles and right now i have to say i am trully impressed with the hardware. The browser has been updated with the latest flash player meaning you can watch movies,game videos and porn : )

Just downloaded Wipeout and it is gorgeous and extremly fast and playable. Played though HS and playing though Unchartered and RACTOD. Also bought GTP. Now anyone who knows me on here will tell you i am far from a fanboy but lean more towards the 360 as a games console but....

But since watching Planet earth br on my hd tv, using the built in browser, playing free online with wipeout and more importantly playing the exc games ive mentioned ive come to this conclusion.

Sonys Ps3 is a beast of a machine and i can understand why people on here get frustrated with the inferior multiplatform games that are released. Hs the graphical fidelity, the facial animations, the fighting animations. Same goes for Unchartered and Ractod. I can honestly say ive been blown away by these games and i do not get blown away easily.

There is nothing on any other console that looks as good as unchartered, on a high def tv even gears although gears also looks amazing or for that matter hs and ractod.

The only problem is that these games as anyone knows are at the mo few and far between with multiplatform games not taking advantage of the Ps3 architecture.

Right now i feel that both PS3 nad 360 are worth owning but right now although xbl is still leading the way in the online gaming Psn is not far behind and is free. Home is coming for the psn and avatars for the 360 so we will see how they both change the online exp.

But to end i firstly hope that both consoles are sucessful so we get to enjoy the great exc games planned for each sysytem. gear 2, fable2,lbp,Naruto ultimate ninja storm are the ones on my list.

Saying that if i had to chose one console to suceed id have to go with the Ps3 simply as firstly Sony are not trying to milk us for every dime we have got. There online network is fully operational and free although not quite up to live yet but gaining ground quickly. It also works as a Br player and internet browser.

More importantly guys is that the exc games ive so far played are trully a step a head in graphics,animation and general next gen feel. Honestly for those that are suprised at this comment coming from me i eurge anyone to play these games on a hd screen and not feel the same.

But saying that graphics are not everything and to those that want to play the next fifa and madden they will unfortunatlely not care about any of these games.

I just hope that Sony dosen't keep trying to change there image making shooting games a focus. There are enough shooters in the world as far as im concerned. I personally hope that we as gamers get to see more games like Hs,unchartered,rac,fable,kameo ,banjo and kazzoie, Mass effect, Lost odyessy, ff 13 and WKC etc etc.

This could be masssive as others have said. I mean we all know that will be a decent amount of fud released just like what happens at retail but as Tacki said this means that the next great dev could be unearthed. It will alllow us as gamers to exp games from talented individuals before they become well known and run off to join a big dev company or start up there own.

I bet Ms are gonna be getting intouch with the talented few that are unearthed. This could be one of the biggest revolutions for console gaming ever and i thought being able to play online against and with the world was good enough. I need to lie down... View

Like the scale of the levels and the crashes are awesome but i like pure as a game more.

Its got more of a sense of speed and the tricks versus speed stratergy along with the different track events(races,sprints and freestyle) and layouts hooked me in like the ssx games all those years a go.

The track layout for motorstorm has to cater for so many diff types of veichle it can't specialise for any of them. The ground deformation is brilliant though.

Graphically its a tough one. MS has more going on under the hood with the crashes/deformation and the tracks are bigger in scale but i feel that pures track enviroments from an artisitc perspective are prettier imo and suit the atv veichles balancing out turns and jumps perfectly but i have only sampled one track from Mspr.

P.s Building your own atv from scratch on pure is a big plus point and gives you that feeling of ownership and the quads an individual personality. As you can probably tell im a bit into pure.

Who would of thought disney would ever publish a racing game as good as pure?!/ : ) View
